Sherlock Holmes - Pipe puzzle help

I like this game - many of the puzzles require a fair bit of thought. However, I am really stuck on this one. Level 6 in the dressing room at the theatre - it is a pipe puzzle where you are not permitted to leave any ends open. Can't figure it out beause I always end up with random pieces that go nowhere. Help!

Here is a two-part tip for you tuesday40:

[list]You do not have to use every piece on the board[/list]
[list]Focus on the left side of the puzzle[/list]
