Boggle...real opponents?

Anyone know if your opponents in Boggle are real or computer generated in the match play? Just seems odd that no one ever quits a game.

I believe they're computer generated. I love this game, too, by the way.

I've always wondered this too. I was convinced they were computer generated until one day when my internet connection was out, and I tried to play in match mode and the game wouldn't let me because it said without an internet connection it couldn't connect to an opponent. But, then, that could just be programming to make it seem real. I'm still kind of leaning towards computer generated because you never, ever have to wait for an opponent, and I find it hard to believe that timing would always be that perfect.

I play every day faithfully and my mom who lives in another state also plays nearly every day and one day she called me and asked if I was playing Boggle at that time, and I was. She told me she just played against me. I rarely pay attention to the names, only the score that I'm up against. I play as rainmom from Arlington Wa. Has anyone ever noticed me?

I love the game, but I have wondered the very same thing...I play as new number 2 (a reference to The Prisoner). I play on three different computers, but the program does not seem to remember me on different computers--3 different ratings...hmmm

Has anyone played against me out there?

I've played against you laine from tonbridge uk. I think you regularly whip me...but I may have snuck out a win or two. I play as Guppy from Orlando. Anyone else play against me? I'm usually in the 1900 range and do get up into the 2000 range occasionally, but not for long There are some great players in there!!!!!

I do think you are playing against real people, but maybe not in real time? Not sure, but does seem like there is some trick to the matching up process that's not real evident.

I am glad to hear that there are real opponents out there. The way the words of my opponents come up in certain orders convinced me that the opponents are real. Anyone play against me as Squirts Dad or Squirts Pop (depending on computer) from GA. I am impressed by the skill of my opponents. I have been up to 2300, but only briefly. I usually hang out in the 2100-2200 range.

I only play on weekends. My handle is Kat Fever. The only thing I wonder is my percentage never changes, even though I win more than 50% of the time. Any one play me?

Something like that--have you ever quit a game? The score for the other "person" is immediately there for the full 3 minutes. And some of the names are the same in different levels, and if you've ever noticed the score for another person when you play them in back to back games doesn't reflect the previous game(s) usually. It's mostly fake.

Trapt1...I've also noticed the back-to-back opponents scores are way different. That's why I think you're not playing real time. The past few days the games have been pretty screwy. Matching low 1800's against high 1900's. I've not seen that before.

I've been playing boggle on pogo now and you can really tell the difference between that this fake crap. I just played for the first time on this site in the middle of the night, and the others ratings were WAY lower than mine, yet most butchered me with words that only a professional player would know. (I usually win on pogo while playing with up to 16 others at a time). I'm done with this fake crap. I can play a computer for free--or pogo for free and chat.
