This is indeed a brand new offer. Looks interesting, and so far, the items drop fairly easily.

Those crystals for the blacksmith are really hard to come by

Does anyone know if we can collect the cinders from our friends' hoods now or do we have to wait until the task comes (are we at risk that the ones we get before won't count?)

Where do you find the big guy? Paris?Bellows?

You can collect the cinders now and the blacksmith is in Bellows manor. I found it extremely hard to get the gems to fall to feed him and the soot is not dropping very well either, hope someone else finds a helpful tip for all of us

I find the drop rate not very good. In working through the first artifact, it is 3 or 4 searches in the requested mode before the item drops. The only one that dropped with the first search was for any mode and I had a ghost present.

The big guy is at Bellows fighting for the slots that our Indian friend needs to give me those rubies.

Just a note for lower level players ... The components for the third artifact, Crystal Bouquet, are found in Venice so you'll need to have those rooms open in order to complete the offer.

That being said, it's still worth searching and assembling the first two artifacts for the extra xp and gold coins, as well as offer-dragon food

I agree the drop rate for cinders isn't very good .. I purchased 60 diamond dusts with coins in addition to those acquired by searching rooms; so far I have 12 cinders (need 35). Definitely will take a few more days of feeding creatures to collect necessary charges .. I will only spend crystals as a last resort

I think we will all spend diamonds on this one. I helped creature 30 times and got 11 Soot from the Forge . I bought the rest , because it means that I need to collect 60 more crystals if the creature continued to be so grumpy .
But the good thing is that we get 1500 exp points for finishing task where we need to assemble the key for the room and another 1500 points for finishing task with expedition.

The first part is easy, good drop rate except for cinders. Purchased those with gems.After feeding the dragon most rooms the item dropped after 2-3 times. The final item took me 5 times in dismantled image mode.
Items blend in to the woodwork and are hard to find. Took 2 1/2 hours for me to complete, using silver cards.

Soot is extremely hard to get!

Another one with Venice tasks! Bah. I was doing so well with it.

What is the room like? Hard to find items? Easy?

I found this to be a hard room to find objects, it was dark and some of the items were really hidden (such as the saddle). If you have a nautilus pallium it would be a good idea to use it. Good luck

I am not worried about the room as much as getting to it! That blooming sod Timli wont let go of the soot and them there crystals aint coming my way except occasionally in Venice

So I guess my bleeding fingers will have to dig deeply into my pocket and hand over lots of my gems to that uncouth blacksmith!!

It took many trips to dismantled image mode in order to collect the piece of brick (last item) which was irritating. Otherwise it wasn't too bad.

I actually liked the room and managed to get familiar with most of the object locations by the time I was done. 1:37 left at completion.
