sending premium gifts

how come when i click someone to send a premium gift it doesn't allow me to send that person a premium gift i think that the person i am trying to send this gift to would really appreciate it instead of the standard free gift not much choice on free gifts

This might sound silly but do you have enough silver or gold to purchase the premium gift?

Were you able to click send? Unlike free gifts, the game does not show that a premium gift has been sent until it's refreshed.
