HM: Civil War

I just finished this game & really liked it, was very impressed with the verbiage of the letters, the story boxes, etc. but is it my imagination or was the information about Lincoln's "attempted" (!) assassination slightly wrong in the Ford's Theater location? And in the Epilogue something is said about "....the state of our country if Lincoln had fallen." ! ! ! Had thought for sure maybe THIS game, since it concerned American history, had been created by Americans, but maybe not.
