Monkey Wrench

After putting the monkey wrench together and putting it on the cage to release the chains I keep clicking where the "green arrow" points and I can't get any further. I have clicked everywhere the curser says to and the game walkthrough says to "click P 3 times" and I have done that as well, nothing is happening. I even started the game over and I am still having the same problem. HELP

I did just realize that my Wolf is not at full strength, so how do I get her to full strength?

I hope you can understand what I am trying to say.
