The hooking together of the red and blue wires

I do everything I can to hook or or get them to pug them in but to no avail . Am I supposed to have some wires in inventory? Please help am totally stuck

Are these the ones in the elevator? If so, it took me a while to see that they are there on the right. Roll over there with your mouse till you can click & pick one up, then put it on the wires. Do this 3 times to get them hooked back up.

Actually, the wires are on the left hand side - your cursor turns into a hand when you can pick them up.
