How can I get into Kitchen

I have just started this game but got into the house thought I had a good look around saw the note on table but no other actions required but cannot get into the kitchen I had a walkthrough but even that does not help I cannot see an inventory or anything maybe it has download wrong. the worst with these large files you cannot try buy otherwise I would have left it

the only other thing you can go do right now is get the coffee cup from the counter. You will need it to fix the radiator.
