It isn't often a new frontier is crossed.. but this game has got to be it. Although this is a kids game, this concept of the shapes dropping through a 3D set of discs is surprisingly difficult for those of us who are amplidexterous challenged.
Sure, us adults will say its boring... or silly, but then we'll be back in there trying to get high scores or finish the game (or even just to whack those baddies on the head with them - it does feel really good). Its got to be tried to be believed. Don't be fooled by the graphics on the first level; they are a little crude. The second and third are much better, but really does blend into the background as you're so focussed on your shapes and getting them through the holes, that you really don't notice after a while. And dig those butterflies! I won't be buying it, but I recognise that this is a new technology in gaming, and I look forward to the spin offs. |
