the flynn diaries

How do I take the third diary? I've solved the puzzle and sparkly lights are around it, but I can't get the book out.

Gee I've played this game twice so I know it is doable, but I just can't remember what I did. Seems others asked same question on game forum if you page through the posts. Or check the walkthrough. There is one on gamezebo too I think, sometimes one is more clear than another. Good luck, terrific game and wish I could help.

Cannot get the book from the shelf nor can I cancel that quiz.
