Help, cannot get back to story mode!

Why they made this option available, I have no idea, because now that I've saved my game whlie playing a mini game (from the main menu, not in one of the worlds), I can't get back to story mode. At all. Whenever I press 'continue' or 'load game,' I always go back to the mini game, even if I've finished all thirty levels. Does this mean I have to starte THE ENTIRE game over if I want to go back to story mode? Anyone else have this issue? It seems really dumb that Sandlot never made a 'go to story mode' option.

Yikes, I did this myself. I never saved my game, didn't see the point really because you hit 'continue' and it's all there, magically saved. I played a mini-game and like you got stuck because pressing 'continue' just took me back to the mini game where as if I'd hit save earlier I could have loaded it up. It pays to save kiddies!
