Magic Ball 3 - Error @ Level 48

Everytime I get to level 48 an error message pops up on my screen and shuts my game down. I have erased and re-installed the game twice, but everytime I get to level 48 - BOOM, error message. The only way I can get around it is if I restart the game and start from fresh after level 48. This gets very tiring and frustrating.

Update - the error message I get is: Error: Access violation @ 0x0048184 (tried to read from 0x0000154) Program terminated.



Any suggestions on how to get around this?

Guess there aren't as many Magic Ball 3 fans as HO fans, from dirth of messages here, Teb18. My PC guru spouse says it may be insufficient RAM; my Vista sidebar shows RAM usage. Have you unistalled completed demos, defragged & cleaned your HD lately? Some apps leave garbage behind that can interfere w video-intense games. I use McAffee, hubby has Norton.

I came to this forum to find an answer for my problem w level 66 - my bat doesn't keep up with my mouse and I can't get more than a few blocks down before all three bats are gone. I haven't tried reinstalling, but if that doesn't work, I will email BFG directly. They were very sympathetic when a demo caused problems with one of my purchased games.

Wish I could help with the problems, but I didn't seem to have any problems with the game.

But, just want to put in my two cents--I think this is a great game and just loved it!!!

I got this for my hubby. He hasn't played for awhile and hasn't gotten that far yet. I'll definately be keeping an eye out for levels 48 and above.

Did you ever get a resolution. I'm having exactly the same problem.

I am having the same problem also. I contacted Big Fish technical support and they said they will look into this game and possibly in the future there will be a new build issued. They said to check the forum for this game to get notified of the new build.

A work around for the crashing of a level that I figured out was to start the game with the "Quick Start" option or if you were starting your game that way then start with the picture level option with the green lit circles.

I was crashing on level 48 and I had been starting the game without using the "Quick Start" option. Once it crashed several times I figured out to start with the "Quick Start" or visa versa.

My paddle and mouse are not matching up either. The mouse is slow when trying to move the paddle. I just re-start the level and that helps somewhat. It doesn't happen throughout the level just the beginning. It doesn't happen on all levels either. Again try "Quick Start" for this problem also.

Please contact support so they are aware this is happening to others OK? Perhaps with them knowing it is happening to others they will work on a new build that much sooner.

I'm having the exact same problem but on more than just this level. The game freezes and then I get the error message. I've reloaded the game and closed it out and restarted my computer. Doesn't do it all the time but it's really annoying. Don't have this problem on any of the other Magic Ball games. This is one game I like to replay a zillion times too so a fix would be really nice. It's making me sorry I purchased it.
