Fill in Gaps?

Went to Game Strategy for Level 7.Says 1.Up grade hut, fill gap near quarry? Have tried this move in several areas with gaps and nothing happens. Obviously I am missing something. HELP!

You need to have stone to fill in the gap. If you don't have stone, demo a pile of stones and that will give you what you need to fill in the gap.
