need help finding key to bird cage

I purchased this game a while ago. I thought that it was my video card that caused the problem, But I have updated all the video drivers and my direct x and all of the colors and pictures are distorted. I also get a message that says out of range from my monitor. I have no idea what to adjust my monitor to. This is the only game that does this.
