after the dam breaks

Ok, I have restarted the game yet again and I am getting stuck after I go and stop the russian and he blows up the dam and then my valley is flooded. I don't have enough resources to build the town up again, so what is the best way to rebuild. I know I need to build a bunch of bridges and I have found some of the buildings and have rebuilt them, but I am stuck, what do I have to do???

Wish I could help, but I'm wondering the same thing. Doesn't look like anyone has responded.

I really can't figure out how to survive with the complete lack of resources after the dam breaks. Is there any way to avoid it happening, I wonder. Maybe some other way to deal with the Russian?

I have actually made it through the quests by killing bandits, after you find the gunslinger by the saloon . and the deputy on the laft side of the screen and setting up the lumber camp and trading post. I have managed to fill all the barrels, but after that is done, an outlaw arrives and wants 400 gold, I have not been able to get past that point. Anyone else have any words of wisdom?
