Well, I downloaded the demo, played it and went ahead and bought the game. So far, no problems for me. I have not finished it yet. I am just taking a breather.
I like the story as it is not too long. It appears to follow a path so to speak. The clarity of the objects and the scenes are great. I liked the variety of mini puzzles along with the skip button if you do not want to play a certain game. The only part of the music that I did not like was in the garage. Just something about it, so I turned my speakers down.
Kudo's to PCKILLER and the rest of the staff at his company for a great game.
Once all of the "bugs" are worked out (the ones that the other fishies were experiencing), I am sure you will all enjoy the game. It is not timed which is a definate
plus for me.

 HELP ... I GOT :
Error Access Violation at 0x004D7864 (tried to read from 0x68746188) program terminated.
Anyone else having this problem?
PS Have never had an Access Violation before on any game.
I had a problem also, in the demo, right after finishing the first scene. Didn't catch the error code. Maybe I'll wait a few days then re-down load it, or maybe something else will come out to play.

I, too, had the error message(0x00401AD0 thingie). I got it at the start, then restarted the game and got it a bit later.
Love the game! I'm so glad that I haven't run into any 'powerups' like in HH1 where I had to quickly click on flying light orbs. That drove me batty!
Not sure if I want to buy the game or not. There are so many to choose from now!

Alright everyone
I see that some people don't like that the game is short. But one of the reason because of game's flow. You are going directly from one location to another, play the key scenes and puzzles. Thats make our game looks like X-Files series (you don't see how Mulder and Scully travel somewhere - you just see the locations with text like "Chicago Hospital 8.01 p.m." ) and you feel yourself inside it.Your mind is inside and you like "looking at the agent from the side". We could implement a lot of repeats where you could search items over and over in the same rooms and this could take 3,4,5,6 hours whatever. But you can loose the atmosphere, the rhythm and the flow of the game and will be another HOG with pure HO gameplay (doesn't matter what is on screen-we want just to search for the items). Here we tried to give you different, new experience. Yes,maybe its not perfect but we did our best (especially for time when it was planned) and will do in future. Sorry everyone who disappointed about the length - I hope you liked to play it at least.
WARNING SPOILER!!!!!!!!
A lot of questions remain after finishing the game: How detective had come to our time? What priest was doing in the hotel if he is not guilty? Who else is involved? Musician, Clairvoyant, Professor?
All these questions, and finishing the whole case with this hotel you’ll find in Haunted Hotel 3. Agent, Detective and Priest will go back to the hotel and try to stop this. That’s why some questions in the current game left unanswered, like about Musician, Security manager. We’ll see them in action in the next game. Here we are preparing players for the great ending of a trilogy

I just wanted to add that it is nothing against the developers except that the game was too short. I really feel like I wasted my game credit. I understand what you've said about repeating rooms etc, but i just don't feel like I've gotten my money's worth witht his game.
The graffics, etc are wonderful though.

hollie96 wrote:...I've had this problem downloading games quite a bit lately. Games that should take a few minutes are taking up to an hour. The only major change with my computer is that I switched to Firefox after the IE debacle. Ever since, it takes forever to download games. I can't say for sure that's the connection, but the two things do coincide.
Sometimes a spyware or adware infection will slow down your connection. Even though you aren't directly using IE, explorer still runs a lot of pieces of your computer (including your desktop).
Generally speaking, it's good to run a Spyware/Adware remover tool on your computer from time to time. BFG GAMES ARE CERTIFIED ADWARE FREE, but that doesn't mean that something else you or a family member downloaded is causing problems.
Also, our first game was a huge hit, and I expect this one to be an even bigger one.
LizzieK wrote:I had to play the game with my speakers totally turned off. The music and ambient sounds were very irritating to me. I tried several times to turn the volume back on and listen for a while but it was just very annoying.
There are separate volume controls for the music and ambient noises in the Options panel. Personally, I keep the music really low (the music also controls the sound of the movies) and the Ambient noises slightly higher.

Speaking as a developer working closely with BFG, these guys are really great. I think one of the requirements for working at BFG must be that you are a good person!

We received a TON of feedback from the first game and took it to heart when crafting the second game.

As I an the only native English speaking person on the team, there were a TON of these sort of...off-names... for items. I remember before we put the game through Quality Assurance that we had things like 'Skittle'. I spent 5 minutes looking for it until I searched the web for a picture of a skittle (which I though was candy) and discovered that's what you call a Bowling pin.
