I must be denser than dense - taking a break from my grad paper on narrative theory and I must have missed the sedative because I can't make the blowpipe. Where did I miss the sedative?

The sedative is on the table in the room to which you were taken when you first arrived (before you were put in the cell. You were at right of screen, nurse and patient were at left).
If you have freed Maurizio you can go up the stairs near your cell.

I can't get Gerda to give me the key, so I must have missed a step. I have read the online walkthrough and it mentions clicking on a book and a note before exiting the lab - I don't see them unless I clicked on them before, but they aren't in my items inventory.

I did figure out that you need to save so your game isn't halted by the nurse blowing the whistle.

Mr. Russ, thanks for your help so far. Can you help me with this probelm?

I finally got Gerda to take the doll! But now I am stuck in front of the levers. I have all the items that are called for and have hung the macrame holder on the lever but now I can't get any other items attached. I talked to Becker twice - he keeps asking me if learned anything new.

Also, the attached clues and the online walkthrough do not always give the same directions or give a different order for manipulating objects. Any help here would be appreciated. I am getting the hang of going back to complete what I have missed so I can move on, but it seems like there should be some other way to learn that you have missed something. Oh well.

The game is flexible up to a point. Usually there are multiple things to do for a trigger, but all of them are important, not the order you do them.
You may find it easier to switch into first person for this. You should be able to either put the anvil into the macrame holder and then put the trolley underneath, or put the trolley underneath the holder and then put the anvil in.

Thanks - I will try first person because nothing is happening in third - I will let you know how I make out. Even though the game is a bit frustrating, I am still enjoying it immensely.

sophie: I wonder if the metal door has to be open first? (the left lever pulled before you rig the right lever? since your rope must fall into the trap-cell?)

I just finished this game and it is incredible! I hope to see a lot more like this here on Big fish in the future. It will go a long way towards keeping me around. I was thinking of ending my membership because I am so tired of all the hidden object and time management games, but this one was very entertaining!

Thanks for publishing it here.

I cant find the sedative. I have the syringes and the right size pipe, but cant put them together. I am assuming that is because I dont have the sedative, I thought it was already in the syringe, but maybe not. Can any one tell me where to find it. The hints dont tell me that

The sedative is in the room to which you were first taken, upstairs from your cell.
Have you freed Maurizio?

If you have got the sedative and used it on the guard, you should now have keys.

I noticed another person had problems with the combining of the 15mm needle with the 16mm pipe to make the blowpipe and it was suggested to add the sedative first. I noticed also that you have to go upstairs to get that sedative, but how do I get up those stairs? I got stuck trying to go up and so I figured I was doing something wrong. I had freed Maurizio, but I think I'm going to give it another try again.

You missed something upstairs in the warehouse. Go back and check out the passport I think it is. Also you may have missed something else where you are now. Keep looking around there is a lot to find.

Please help! I'm stuck after using the ladder at Stenwick's and then when I go back to where Stenwick and Sgt. Rufles are standing in front of the house, Renwick and then Watson each ask Holmes a question and I can't figure out how to get him to answer. I tried skipping it and going straight back to Baker St. but it wouldn't let me enter -- Holmes thinks to himself that he has to go back because he isn't done! I'm getting really frustrated. Thanks for any help, katiedancing. By the way, am I doing this right? It's my first try at a forum!
