I have enjoy this game a lot. I haven't had any of the problems that are mentioned. I'm almost done with the demo and would love to buy it. I'll wait and see if a new version will come out. I just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in for what its worth.

Good game to play to relax.

Great idea of CompuDiva to suggest that the games have ratings of beginner through expert, Time estimates to complete the game, number of levels, etc. It would make it much easier to choose the most suitable games for one's preferences.

Hello everyone,
I finally got to the end of this game and must say that I enjoyed every step of the way. This is a great game because it is not so difficult that you burn your brain but interesting enough to keep you playing it which I will do, over and over. I have read evrything that E A Poe ever wrote including a lost manuscript that appeared in the Chicago Trib about 21 years ago. Thank you for coming up with this game!

Haven't had any problems with this game, and I enjoyed playing it, only problem with it is that it was way too easy! LOL, usually I have to close and head for the walk through but this one wasn't that bad. I did enjoy playing the game and don't regret using the credit for it.

This game is just ok, I bought the full version after the 1 hour trial but it's just too easy! Even the puzzles are too easy. Finished it in a few hours. It is not even close to the re-play-ability of the Mystery Case Files Series and far from Return to R. I'd give it about a 3 out of 5. Where Return to Ravenhearst is definitely a 5 out of 5.

For a gamer like me this was a nice pleasant game. I don't usually like having an inventory because I don't want to work hard at a game - figuring out what to do with something. But this was just right - very doable and breaking up the HOG nicely.

My only complaint was the darkness - and I won't play it again for this reason. I have a large screen and my brightness and contrast cranked all the way up for a game like this. And yet, I had to play most of the time with the monitor rotated at a steep angle, to get the right amount of light at just the right angle. Yes, it is a dark story and much of it at nighttime, but ...

This is the best hidden object game I have ever played! I was impressed by the story line (although I thought the Boss Tweed complicity was a bit of a reach), the graphics and the numbers of objects and how they were hidden. The puzzles were very easy, which is fine when it is really an almost pure hidden object game. Certainly the variety of scenes and the length cannot be faulted. I would give it a negative only for the problems associated with The Gold Bug (the torch, skull, lanterns and lost players), and it is too bad that there were any problems. Having given a negative for the problems, in all other categories this game gets a thumbs up times 5 and ranks as the best hidden object game of the year! I wonder if we will ever see this kind of excellence at all frequently, or is it too high a standard for most game companies? I suspect it is!

Good game! althought a bit short once you playing the game. it started out like it was going to be a nice long game, but once you started poe's 3 story chapters.......they got shorter & shorter & shorter (what a bummer!) 1st half nice & long, 2nd half WAY 2 SHORT! had to use a few hints along the way (i missed a few of the ravens)....cleverly hidden but just couldnt see them.
love the games where you find items to use in other areas. would love to see more of this type of game.
we have been spoiled by RTR....

I have not found the game boring or to easy, l just right. I do not feel like I'm being led by the hand. The graphics are great and the music very typical of Poe tales. Thourougly enjoyable game. The
Seguin cat gives it

You should also have 2 lanterns in your inventory. Set them on the birds nests and watch what happens.

I played the demo and kept saying to myself, "this is so dumb." I don't know how anyone could compare it to RTR. I didn't buy. The puzzles were just too easy, the answers too obvious.

Good game, the puzzles are too easy but the graphics and atmosphere are excellent. The story is actually involving and made me want to know more. It's not as good as Return 2R but then, what is?

EAP's wiki page is worth a read (the memorial matches the one in the game): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Allan_Poe

I just played 30 minutes of the demo and quit because I was bored to death. Too easy and I feel like I am just going through the motions. The icon/graveyard/open door puzzle was pretty lame. The best thing I found so far was the cat showing up when you do a lot of random clicking. I was clicking away just to see the cat.
