What's the longest it's ever taken you to beat a game?

Way back around 1985 or so, my dad introduced me to a text game called Rogue. The whole game was small enough to fit on a floppy disk, plus a bunch of saved games too! Being the happily budding reader that I was, I started playing it a lot.

I finally beat it when I was 19.

Anyone else taken 14 years to beat a game from when they started playing?

...Weiss, I think you'll get the grand prize!! My longest is Myst. I got it shortly after is was released on CD way back when. I was working full time, travelling for my job, and was a single Mom. It took months for me to get through it. Absolutely loved it!!

Cesse, I remember Myst. My husband and I used to play that game. I remember it did take us a really long time to finish it.

My daughter still teases me. I worked days and she worked afternoons. She'd be getting home about the time I'd go to bed. I'd sleep for a while, wake up and come downstairs to jump on the computer. She laugh and say Myst?? Evidently, while my body was sleeping, my brain kept working and I'd snap awake with an idea of how to solve a puzzle.

Zuma - it took me weeks to finish that - I played every night for hours and hours, just couldn't stop. I should play that one again from the beginning. Wonderlines and Chainz took long too, but oh, they were fun.

Of course there are some other games I never finished because they were too hard to get to the end, Atlantis, for example - I never made it to the end because you have to start from the very beginning if you lose all your lives.

I have ones i still consider not beaten, you know like dash games where you get silver and gold stars for completing a level, and i have only managed silver, i consider them not finished and i have loads lol

I also think that the myst games took me the longest. They have very challenging puzzles.

Here on Bigfish, nothing has lasted more than 2 days with the exception of Fairway Solitaire. I have been playing for 6 days straight and am only about half-way!

The Nancy Drew games take me about a week. I haven't had a game take longer than that since the King's Quest games. Those took me a month or more.

I still haven't beaten Nethack >.>' and I met it a loooooong time ago.

I also have not finished Morrowind or Oblivion completely either.

BFG games? All very quickly beaten
