Navigating the Well

I can't figure out that puzzle. Any suggestions or guidance.

If I remember correctly.......
I first followed the photo symbols from left to right, to choose each tunnel.
You have to use the lighter to go through each tunnel though.
then, when you reach the place where you have left or right arrows and pick a direction to go in (I chose to keep going left)....
and doing whatever needed to be done in each scene
scraping the moss
grabbing the scroll
translating the symbols....
then, I took the last tunnel to the right.....
IDK....but it worked.
