Errors

Hi Everyone--

I was about to purchase the game when I read a post on Gamezebo talking about the game giving error messages and then shutting down. The writer was using Windows XP Pro. Someone else using Vista said they didn't have any problems. I'm running Vista. Has anyone any information about this problem? I'd rather wait a week or so and let BFG get the bugs out than jump in on a frustrating, buggy game.

I'm using vista and had no trouble!

Hi I haven't had any problems, with this game, I have Vista. I have played it twice now. I Think it is a lovely game, I agree with the Moderator one of my favourites.

I am running XP and I did have the game shut down twice. But I rebooted and got right back to where I was so not a big issue. I also liked the game!!!!

Hi! No problems on Vista. It's a nice game...kinda fun.

I ran in to an error on the last section (Japan) that locked up my system and I had to reboot. Happened every time I tried to load the game..... (I'm running Vista, but don't know that mattered). Today I deleted the game and downloaded again. Thought I'd have to start over, but I was able to start right where I stopped and completed the game without a problem. Love this game!

I can't play this game at all. I get the error:

Application Error
Exception EOleSysError in module Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena.exe at 00077D41. Class not registered.

right away when I click play. I have updated stuff and re-downloaded but no go. I have not yet contacted tech support because I pretty much have done all the updates they'd ask me too and I just don't have the energy for hoop jumping atm. This sounds like a good game but I can live without one.

...forgot to mention, I use XP.

has anyone had a problem with items vanishing? I got the full load message when I went to pick up fire urn at the four temples. Then the darn thing vanished. Now can't get air madallion . Have no fire to make steam. Already had to play over because game locked up at the door in Japan.

I've got Vista & I'm stuck in Athens. I've got the date scroll, but game won't aknowledge it. Can't go forward or back. Frustrating!!!

I too am frustrated, I have received errors and it shuts down on me, I have uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted my laptop, I am running on Vista also. I am now stuck at two different spots with two different profiles to see if that helped at all. I am really enjoying this game but I am ticked about getting the errors and then it shutting down on me. HELP PLEASE

Most issues can be fixed by updating system components such as video card drivers. Try that first.

I PURSHASED THE GAME AND NOW I CANT PLAY KEEP GETTING ERROR MESSAGES IVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED IT BUT NO LUCK CAN ANY1 HELP IM RUNNING VISTA IT LET ME PLY FREE TRIAL BUT SINCE I PURCHASED I CANT PLY

I downloaded the trial version and had no trouble playing it. In fact, I thought the hidden objects were too easy to find and even the puzzles were easy. Of course, I had my husband helping so that is an unfair advantage.

No freezing or problems with the game at all. But I purchased two other games today and that is my limit for a while. Maybe later.

I am also using Vista but came into forums through Firefox. Don't know if that would help but had lots of trouble just getting into forums until I installed Firefox. I was told through live assistance that Firefox was the preferred browser, though normally, I use Explorer.

Yes, I was having problems too...I"m XP pro. I wasn't freezing up... but I don't think everything loaded right.. I could use the hints and the number of hints wouldn't go down.. and they didn't work half the time anyway. Also my blue cursor wouldn't show up when I know it was suppose to. Also some of the letters in the maze were just plain not there.... just silly stuff like that.

But the game was such fun... I re installed... still had problems... I changed player names.. still had problems..finally I changed back to my original player name... and so far everything everything has been going fine. I even got thru the maze and all the letters were there.. so it was easy to do.

There were definite glitches in this game... but I really like it.... it's my kind of game...and am hoping I can finish it in the morning. I will definately play it again and again.... providing it still works.. :-) More of these kind please... !!

Hi All,
I am trying to complete the level where you have to get the rose of conquest, I think it is the 3rd level. When I get to the puzzle match part, although I click to remove the tiles they will not disappear. Is anyone else having this problem. I am running Windows XP Home Edition. This is the first time since getting their games that a glitch has happened. I sent them an email, but as yet no response. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Finished the date scroll area, have the scroll and flashlight and the message is telling me to move to next area but when I try to it tells me I need to find all the items in this area first, BUT I did that. Running XP Pro, no problems with trial just seems to be now that I purchased it. Were a couple of freeze ups during the game but just shut down any other apps and it seemed to fix that problem. Please help as I would love to finish this game.

I am using XP Home Australia and have had no problems yet, I have just got to UK still trying to figure out the scales, hope that is not one of the gliches as they will not accept more that one weight. but I need 3 in each But love the game a real change, and not too brain challenging.

I got out with help from BF great so that is not a glich, now I can go to sleep

I have Vista. During the trial I got an error message, but was able to play until putting the statue together. I uninstalled then reinstalled after I purchased the game hoping all would be good. The statue was assembled, but the game wouldn't recognize it. When I clicked on the pieces they moved out of the outline and from that time one my cursor couldn't move the pieces anymore. I just emailed the DXDIAG to the tech and am waiting for further instructions. I, too, really like the game and hope it will work.
