I am stuck on the bull dozer i have found one item to use as the control what do I use as the key and is there another item to be used as a control

You take the magnifying glass and hold it over the track on the bulldozer... and you'll find the paper clip.... then you have to go back to the last place and use the chain saw to cut the tree and you will find the other control. Then use it in the bulldozer scene.

I am at the level where you have to align the symbels. I can't seem to make it work.
