Season 2 Match

[Post New]by scotcat on Oct 13, 08 4:13 AM
I tried the demo and I am on the fence. I wonder how many levels there are? I got to level 15 in the hour. It's kind of a cute and relaxing Match 3 / puzzle game. Nice graphics & music. Thinking...... thinking........

I bought the game and am now on level 56. Seems like the game is winding down because of the storyline. Have played for about 3 hours. I like the game. The graphics are wonderful. The only complaint that I have is one of the mini-games where you have to find 8 four leaf clovers in a pile of 3 leaf clovers, very tricky to find them all but I finally did. All in all I think this is a good match 3 game. I like HOG and the match 3 so I am happy.

Sounds like a fun 3M game to play while waiting for a good HOG! Thanks for sharing.

Have a good day

Thanks Lorifish! From what you said, it looks like I might buy it since I like HO games and my new addiction is a "good" Match 3 game. My main concern was the length.

Your welcome.. I think you will like this one.

My complaint now is I have to work and I can not play in the pond all day, I do lurk but they keep sending me jobs that they think are supposed to be my priority... someday I will win the lottery and then I can play games all day.

LOVE IT! And that is HUGE coming from me as I am no big fan of match 3. I don't mind 'em, it's how I started my casual gaming "career" but rarely even demo them now. BUT I bought Season Match back in the day and loved the prettiness of it so thought I'd give this a go. Sooooo preeeeeetty! Love the addition of the HO and match games, though on the simple side. And a RELAXED MODE! Woooohooo! Are you liiiistening all you developers? Relaxed mode = sales. Only thing that's bugged (heh) me so far was crunching the beetles. *shudder*

Gonna go play more.

Just an update, I finished it. There are 70 levels. The last level is a challenging puzzle where you have to assemble a mirror. Very very pretty. I think this has replay value... just because match 3's are different all of the time. Good game BF.

I really enjoyed this game - after buying it, I ended up playing straight through - all the way to the end (70 levels in all). There are a couple of arcadey mini-games towards the end that weren't really my cup of tea, but i got past them fairly easily (admittedly with a fair amount of luck needed for one of them ). The hidden object mini-games are fun, and not too difficult - only had to use a hint twice (and both times i kicked myself for not spotting them).

The graphics are good, the music's pleasant, and the general gameplay is fun (on Relaxed mode at least - haven't tried Timed yet). The story line is fairly predictable for this sort of game - though sometimes the spelling and grammar made me flinch (ended up 're-writing' the script in my mind as i read some of them).

I think it has decent replayability - i know i missed a load of the coins, and the levels will always play out differently - depending on what random items drop. I didn't like the fact that certain levels forced you to use your magic or specials to finish.

Anyway, was considering writing up a review of the game - but i guess i've already covered the salient points here

I definetely agree this is a good match-3 game. It is one that I will buy as I've enjoyed it so much. Great graphics, mini games for HO items not so difficult that it stress's me out but good enough that I have to search for the last 2-3 items....................like that you can also hunt for coins so you can buy extra time if you need it and that it also has the timed or relaxed mode. Playing timed right now but since I like it may switch to relaxed mode the second time around. I play games to relax not get stressed so this is really a perfect game for me.

I liked this game best game BF has had in awhile!

Only things i did'nt like about it it's not a true Match 3 game. Just clicking on a group of match 3 or than moving 1 too make a Match 3 .

Other thing was all the middle stuff you have too do find all the stuff hidden .. Is'st there enough of those games allready?

I tried the demo a while back and kept thinking about it. Maybe I wll buy this one after all. It was pretty. Is the original Season Match any good?
