Hello everyone!
If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:
Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Game Compatibility
While we can offer a known solution for technical issues in the Forums, or other tech savvy pond residents can swim by with good tips and suggestions, we cannot provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team.
The Forums are not very well suited for the kinds of information gathering and troubleshooting that get these types of issues corrected quickly.
If there is a problem with the game, our Support Team can also gather necessary information on what types of computers are being affected by the problem and deliver this information to the developer for a fix.
If you are not able to get a game working properly using our Help pages, please get in touch with our Customer Support team, you can find a link to contact our Support team on the front page of our Help pages.
When posting in this thread and also when contacting our Support Team, it would be helpful if you could state what system you are playing the game on (i.e. PC, MAC or Mobile), so we can provide you with the appropriate support as quickly as possible.
*Finally, please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

well, the only tech issue I have run into is that I cannot minimize the game to my desktop and come back to it.
I always play my games in "windowed" mode - this way, if I get emails, or want to go onto the internet for something, or do something else, I can minimize the game to my desktop, then just click on it when I want to resume playing. pretty much all the games I have I can do this.
This particular game - I minimize and when I click the icon to bring the game back up, it comes up a totally blank screen and I have to do CTRL-ALT-DELETE and go into task manager and shut it down. Message comes up that it is "not responding". Kind of a pain, but not really the end of the world.
Other than that minor issue, game is working fine and I'm quite enjoying it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and the game is freezing at the docks.
I'm running OS 10.11.6 on an iMac. Have done everything HELP says to and still freezing. Any suggestions.

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to stop in here to address the technical issues coming up in the game.
judy76073, thanks for taking the time to report this here! If playing in windowed mode, it may be helpful to try and leave the game window up when using another program on the computer. This should be possible by simply not minimizing the game before going to a browser or other program.
Additionally, the steps in the following help article may be useful in preventing this, as they can apply when a game isn't displaying properly:

myrnarose, I'm sorry to hear that the game has been freezing up at a certain point. I've gone ahead and included a help article with steps for addressing this below, which are specific to Mac computers:

Mac 10.10.5 here. Game crashed.
I had problems with previous games from this dev. They crash again and again, after a restart I often have to replay some steps. This doesn't add to an immersive experience.
I've contacted Customer Service, they've been nice as ever and issued me with a free game code.
Call me silly, I rather pay full price for a game properly working than "limping" through a free game.
There are so many games from other devs I have no problems with whatsoever. I do not understand what makes the difference to make a game playable.
I feel BFG should monitor these problems, learn from those devs who deliver playable games and pass on the knowledge and tricks to devs whose games crash and crash and crash ...

To bfgPanthalassa - further to my earlier message - I should have mentioned I use Windows 8.1, 32 bit - both my computers.
This has been the best operating system I've had since windows 7 and very rarely have tech problems with anything. BFG is the only game site that I will download games from.

AS with every Vendal Game it just wont work on my windows 7 just moves so slow you vant even get out of game because mouse icon wont move SO FRUSTRATING!!

1st 2 games, the skip does not work.

Running the game on Mac 10.12.1 and it keeps crashing. Not very happy as I have paid for this game and do not enjoy having to restart and replay.

I am running game on several OS Xs [10.9.x - 10.11.x] and have issue with game unexpectedly quitting. Have experienced this problem with 2x games from same developer. My Macs meet [and exceed] system requirements, and I have performed standard trouble-shooting.
Like WaltzingFish, I too would rather pay full price and have game work properly.
Vendel creates fun games with quirky characters -- I would really like their games to run smoothly and not have to re-launch them every 5 minutes!

thanks for all Mac users reporting the rerpeated crashing from this developer...I am having same issue and rather than try to reinstall numerous times I'll report ...
I'll try to remember to avoid the developer in future.

When I got to the ship I couldn't pick up the seahorse ,I had to put the planks on the disc first then the seahorse disappeared. I picked a cannon up for the door and a seahorse from spyglass stand but the other cannon and everything else had disappeared from my inventory. couldn't do anything after that but exit game. I am using windows 8.1 on a PC.

Win 7 PC, keeps freezing and just bought and started off after demo...very frustrating and want a full credit for $13.99! Even after pushing CTRL ALT Del, its not letting me get out and have to log off....please confirm if can be fixed or get refund...

When I arrived at the ship, my inventory disappeared. I need it (I think) to fix the runway onto the ship. Would certainly appreciate any help!!!!!

I am also encountering multiple crashes. IMAC, OSX 10.12.1. My system exceeds minimum requirements.
