PC Update Happening NOW . . . a buggy bug fix apparently

I'm Updating on one of my lesser Feeders just in case this Update is wonky.

Will post my results in a few minutes . . .

So far, the Update is in what seems like an endless loop of loading multiple 51MB batches, validating, then failing *sigh*

Waits with baited breath. I notice there is a update in the game manager also.

Could it be?

same here validating in a loop up to 51mb.

It says in Game Manager "bug fix" so maybe it's something that will help avoid the problems so many folks experienced with the Fall Event download.

Was thinking Santa loved me most when I got a message of an update. It's been updating for 10 minutes now, in a "validating" loop.

Yep....downloads 51MB, then "validates" and starts all over again.

MANY MANY thanks to you dedicated MC players who have stopped me updating!
I will wait impatiently until all is well.
I do very sincerely hope that it has not affected your games

For PC folks, are you updating from within the game or are you doing it from the BFG game manager screen?

Updating from Game Manager.
Round and round in a validating loop. Game now inaccessible

Wish I had waited until I heard good reports from the Forum.
I thought it might be Santa......

There's no in game update. When you load it, it says there's an update and kicks you out of the game. You have to use the Game Manager. And, like everyone else who has posted, my game is also stuck in a loop. I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game I'm not actively playing and see what happens.

I'll report back in a few minutes. This may take a while. Windows must update yet again. This is the third update since I got my new laptop. I hope they get the updates caught up soon.

Tried both ways... same result

I am updating from the BFG game manager. And it is in a download/validation loop. If this continues, I will just close out the manager and hope that all is well and whatever is happening now will resolve itself once the game is opened.

Well if it force closes the game and loops from the manager. That pretty much means everyone is dead in the water until it gets fixed. I know it forced closed my game and I came to check the forum and decided to wait till I heard otherwise.

I hope they address this quickly.
In the mean time I will watch and wait.

I have the same problem it gets to the end ( 98% is the last figure I see) , then starts again but if I try to start a game minus the update it just tells me I have to update . I guess its bed for me and try again in the morning .(

my game is now corrupted after update, says to reinstall, not a chance, spent way too much time playing to start over. Tried to restore system to an earlier date, no go still corrupted. hey mods any advice on how to get my game back.

Error code 6 has now come up. It says to uninstall and try to reinstall. Will try this and let you know

The update just kept "validating to 51..". I "x" out of it, went into my game and was playing along with the daily quest which needed a pet fed. Went to get my monkey guy - and, he is gone...poof! I'm not sure if other pets are gone...I have all of them but I only feed certain ones that's why I noticed my monkey was gone...my other favorites are the dragons and I have them. I have no idea if other stuff is missing cause I got 18 pages of items.

I do keep up with my achievement amounts and they appear alright.

So, download at your own risk...although, the download did not complete and I x'd out of it.

Well I guess we need an update to fix the update that was fixing the bugs!! Oh well
will leave it for now. Any Moderators listening?
