Another dud like steve the sheriff. Game will start for me but at the first screen of hidden objects I can only click on a couple of the items. I see the vodka bottle but clicking on it does nothing. To fix the name blocks I can pick up 1 of the 3 blocks. That's as far as I went. Trashed.

After endless waiting time the game finally opened.
First room:
- Clicked on the peanuts, perfect.
- Clicked a hint, it showed me the trinket box. I clicked but nothing happened

Did anyone contact customer support?
I was about to do that but clicking on the "We're here to help" icon brings up an error page
The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011)
whatever that means!!

Yeah, let's be patient and try out other games meanwhile
Thank you for contacting customer support, Rhovannion.
I guess I've contacted them a million times.
If I do it again, the'll probably kick me out of here

Hi All,
This is the answer I received from tech. support regarding Cassandra's game. I followed the instructions, but still have the same problems. Please let me know if any of your mac users were able to play the game. Thank you.
Thank you for writing in. I understand you're having some problems clicking on the items in Cassandra's Journey: The Legacy of Nostradamus. My name is Angie, and I’ll do everything I can to help you with this game today.
There are several reasons why this could be occurring, the most likely reason being that there is a problem with this game responding to the computer. It's important to make sure that all the drivers on the computer are up to date.
First, make sure your video and graphics software is all fresh and up-to-date. Go ahead and make sure that the steps on the link below are all in play with your computer.
Mac Game Errors

Second, a vital component to being able to run our games will be to make sure all of the software on your computer is up to date. Apple makes this process quite easy by allowing your computer to sync with the most important updates available. Please go on to the following links to make sure you computer is all set up for this:
Apple Updates
http://www.apple.com/softwareupdate/
Flash Player
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=MacOSX
Third, try uninstalling and deleting any and all files of this game, then rebooting your computer. We need to remove any versions of the trial version from your computer as well. Then reinstall the game from your purchase history. This will allow both your game and your system to "refresh" in a sense.
To reinstall a game, please see the following help page article below.
Reinstall a Mac Game

If you're still having problems with this game, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further or I can issue a replacement coupon for a different game on our site.
Cheers,
Angie

Hi sunshiney,
I did the same. The only program that needed an update on my computer was iTunes - probably not really necessary for the game
Now I restarted the game and tried to click on the handprint - no reaction
So the problem still seems to be there

Rhovannion wrote:Well, I've just downloaded the mac version and it doesn't work! I have tried to open the game 3 times and each time all I got was a navy blue screen with a white cursor arrow. I had to shut down the computer and restart each time! I wonder if anyone tested the mac version before it was released?
My problems with the game are entirely different, but it is unplayable, none the less.
Have checked for OS updates, restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled game, created new user, turned off effects (although my 24" iMac is fully loaded, not slow), etc, etc, etc, etc . . .
Game loads and opens (sound way too loud, but adjustable). First problem occurs with Nostradamus revealing 6 cards -- sound sticks on constant hum and no cards, continue button does work. Next search scene is for 6 cards -- can be completed. Selecting solitaire puzzle causes game to quit.
End of story -- no solution.
This is Oct 31 -- I see an updated release is available. This is the first time I bothered to download the game -- I bet that update was not for Mac!!
I absolutely refuse to blame my Mac for this game not working, although I wish someone else was reporting these same problems, or mine were the same as the ones listed here. It is very strange that there are so many unique issues.

I did get a reply from tech support, but they jumped straight to giving me a coupon for another game - which is very good of them (I have been, and remain, very impressed by customer support on this site ). It doesn't give an answer to why mac users are having problems with this one, but then, maybe the tech people don't know yet.
I will work through the regimen given above by sunshiny (thanks for that!), but I suspect that, as shorenuf says, the problem is not in our computers.
