At first, I ignored this game, even for download, because it looked like "another HO game", and I had plenty of those on the go. Then, as I watched it stay in the top 5 for so long, I thought, ok, I'll download it. The first 15 minutes were so ho-hum that I stopped playing and left it.
Then, one day when I had nothing better to do, I noticed that the trial still had 45 minutes to go, so I had another shot at it. Then I discovered that I had to find a key, fingerprint and poker chip on each screen as well as all the items on the list. This made it incredibly challenging because I found that if I ticked everything off the list, I then couldn't go back and find the three extra things; I had to get them first. And some of them were well hidden! As I moved through the levels I realised that it was as hard as the Hidden Expedition series because I wasn't sure what I was looking for (sometimes it was a picture of that item, sometimes a word, sometimes a bat was a baseball bat and sometimes it was a creature). I could usually get each screen down to 1 item, but then that last one was really hard to find, and the help isn't endless - only so many hints. The mini games inbetween aren't too annoying and often quite challenging. I also like the sleazy feel to it; every minute I feel like I'm in a big gambling driven city with ambulances going by every minute and if I don't hurry up I'll be the next victim. I never played the first one, so I don't know if this is better or not. But I like this, so I bought it. |
