Casablanca- Level Help

[Post New]by bfgIlinalta on Mar 20, 17 12:27 PM
Howdy Everyone,

With all the cities that are available for you to explore, it can be a little tricky to find help or give advice for specific levels in each city. To help out, we've set up the Gummy Drop! City Directory and have created threads for each city.

This specific thread is dedicated to Casablanca. To help keep everything organized, we're asking that all requests for help or helpful advice posted here pertain to this city only. If you'd like help with a different city, do check out the Gummy Drop! City Directory in order to find the appropriate thread.

In the post below, the moderators will try to add links to existing threads that contain helpful hints for this city. However, we'd like to ask everyone to create any new Casablanca posts here. You can do this by clicking on the Reply button. If you'd like, you can also change the Subject line to the specific level that your post is about.

Happy gaming!

Hello Everyone,

Since this particular thread hasn't seen a reply in 180 days, it was automatically locked. I am posting today to unlock the thread, as well as discuss a level in Casablanca that might be difficult for players to complete.

Casablanca, Level 95, Tier 1 is a difficult level where players are asked to remove a lot of tiles as well as break 12 ice blocks. These ice blocks are behind walls, so it makes it more difficult to make the requisite matches necessary to complete the level.

My strategy to pass this level was to try my best to create line boosts, bomb boosts, and Lightning Boosts as often as possible. Generally, I tried to create bomb boosts and Lightning Boosts as those two can be used in conjunction to help later in the level. This should help start clearing tiles, and possibly start breaking ice blocks too.

After creating some boosts and a Lightning Boost, try to swap that Lightning Boost with the other boost. If it is a color that is under an ice block, even better! This will turn all those gummies into the boost you swapped the Lightning Boost with and allow a lot of gummies to be removed rapidly.

You want to try to do this a few times in the level to not only clear multiple tiles, but also try to break the ice blocks more quickly as cascades occur. There are only a few colors on this particular level, so using a lightning boost with a normal gummy could create opportunities to create more of them if you don't have a handy boost nearby to swap the Lightning Boost with! Try your best to always prioritize making a Lightning Boost if there is the opportunity, as these can be used near the end of the level to more easily clear up any blocks that still need to be broken.

After that, it comes down to luck and cascades. It takes 3 matches to break an ice block, and that could be difficult to do, even with the above suggestions. It took me all of my lives to complete this particular level, even with very slow and methodical play, and I could see it taking a while to complete if luck isn't with the player. I recommend trying those strategies above, trying to make matches with the ice block'd gummies, and using a created lightning boost to try to remove more tiles/blocks more quickly.

Thank you all for your patience, and I hope this is a helpful guide for this more difficult level!

Level 43 architect is a real monster- i used up 14 lives over a period of hours with no luck at all and boosts don’t help but all of a sudden i got lucky and got the whole thing with moves left over. Without that slice of luck I cannot see any way to complete it and I’m certainly not going to try the master level!
