When did match 3 games get to collectors edition status????

It's happened before with Fishdom: Depths of Time, which was first released as a CE. There may have been one or two others, but if so I cannot remember what they were right now.

The match-3 CE versions have lots of extra levels. And if you wait for a good sale, you can pick it up for the price of a standard game. That's what I do - that way the extra cost becomes a non-issue.
