motorcycle tire, very frustrated

Help please! I am unable to get the tire marked as I run out of time every time I try. The timer ticks down 15 seconds before I am even able to pick the tire up & then it ticks down another 10-12 seconds before I can get to the fountain, by the time I put the tire in the fountain I run out of time before I can pick up the blue pen. Have been trying for two days now and am completely frustrated, ready to quit playing the game all because of this one part. Any help as to how to get past this? Does the tire have to be IN the fountain to be marked as the walkthrough states? Thanks for any advice.

No, the inner tube doesn't have to be in the fountain to mark it.

Thanks, still can't get it though, giving up on this one! Had enough now that I have been pulling my hair out for two days.
