Anna's Ghostly Father

Can anyone tell me what game in this series was the first time her father showed up as a skull to give her help and items to help with her investigations? Been looking for the first one and how she met her father.

If I'm not mistaken, he first turns up in The Heir.

If I remember correctly, he started out in the first game of the series as the villain.

can't say I like the voice they used, but I guess since he's a ghost it's the right choice!
