If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend visiting Big Fish Games Helpas they are always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested help articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Just bought this game, stopped in the middle of a hidden object search, went back in, the search list came back to the beginning but the screen no longer has the necessary 'parts' when you have an action to complete. Example, chess piece, I had already opened the pillow so when I came back the list wants the chess piece again, but it's gone!

As it appears you're the only one that has this particular problem, 'hows about' you try what has been suggested by someone who is trying to help you and have a bit more grace about it.

And it's up to the developer to fix any problems, not BFG. If there's a common fault with a game then a fix may get issued by the dev; however, as it seems you are the only one with this problem, it's likely not a fault with the game. I suggest you talk to Customer Services, if it's not too much trouble.

I had X-Ray to go over top of floor plan, then went out of game, went back keeps showing floor plan but it seems X-Ray gone & no way to find Annas room!

Sorry to hear that Nanafraser......According to Angelfish, it seems that since you're the only one with that problem, you'll need to run the game as an Administrator, please see the link that was sent to me to help with the error I found. That means you'll need to start the game over and play, then if it happens again, if they figure out the problem you'll get to start over again. I dunno. Not sure about the benefits of this new job, but the pay doesn't seem very good.

I'm truly sorry that there's been trouble getting the game to work properly. Our developers work incredibly hard to deliver a quality product, but on occasion unanticipated technical issues will arise after a game's release. I completely understand wanting a game to be playable when it's released, and I apologize that we've fallen short of providing that.

If bfgBellerophon's suggestions didn't work, I'd recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. They'll be the best equipped to provide a new solution.

Well I too am having a problem w/ an HO scene. I found all the items but 3: glasses, golden key and another item. They are no where to be found. I left the game, went back in and all the found items are listed again, but I cannot click on them because they have been "found" and eliminated and there is no way to leave the scene, so no progress.

I used the free trial and decided to purchase. When I went back to resume play, I was somehow stuck between were I was when the trial ended and just prior to that. I could not advance. I had already put the three numbers together (before the trial ran out) but when I tried to resume the numbers were on the bottom, one with a red +. If I try to restart, the screen goes dim and nothing works further. I back out to the front scene and click play again, but it's the same thing, I seem to be stuck in a loop and can't get the game to move forward.
Ideas? Help.

Hello Everyone,

I'm really sorry the game won't allow progression, and I'm swimming over to try and fix that. It sounds like different display issues might be occurring, so let's try troubleshooting that.

First I'd recommend checking that the computer's video card driver is up to date. It'd also be a good idea to run the game with administrator permissions. Both processes help the game and the computer to interact more smoothly, and I've included help pages containing those instructions below:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Run Game as Administrator

If these steps don't fix the game, please contact our Technical Support Team. They'll absolutely be able to provide more help.

My game froze up while in the hospital just after I got the light to see inside the brick wall where some man is talking to me and was supposed to give me a piece of paper, that never happened and then it froze. I keep going out and going back in and now I no longer have the light bulb in my inventory. Any one with this problem?

I am also having trouble with this game freezing up in various areas. My drivers are all updated and there is nothing wrong with my computer. Would love to finish game. Oh well, another i can't see how it ends.

Seems I'm not the only one with problems of HO objects re-appearing (take note anglefish) if I have to fix it myself, then I don't need to buy a game that has as many faults in it. It is the fault of the game host, than the game host needs to fix it.

I think this is a tech issue. Towards the end there is a match 3 type puzzle and I accomplished what was supposed to be done but nothing happens. Then I watched someone on Youtube play it and they didn't even finish the object of the puzzle and it ended for him. So now I have to skip it even though I finished it.

I've been trying to play this game for several months on a new iMac with High Sierra Version 10.13.2. I have been a Big Fish Games member since I switched over from **** Entertainment in 2006. This game will play all the way through as long as you have the time and don't quit at certain locations, such as in the middle of a HOP or when you have acquired and assembled the old scary doll before using it (this last is a new one that I have not seen on this forum). And that is if you can get past the Player name screen at the beginning without having to command-option-esc and start again. I should have known then that this game was going to be trouble. After reading about the issues with this game on this forum, I have successfully recreated some of them. Take note, Big Fish (Aristocrat Technologies), your tech people can do the same just as easily as I have. I haven't been able to recreate the x-ray issue yet, because I'm having trouble getting that far. So far that seems to be the only entertainment I am getting from this game. Enough said. I will quit now and email tech support about my issues. They probably won't be able to help me, but I may get a free game for my effort.
