While I love these kind of games, this one is not for me. The grid is too bright, some colors too alike and dark to distinquish between them, the lines of the squares are too thick, and the x's kind of disturb the picture. Too bad, for the rest is beautifully done. Try for yourself, maybe it's just my older eyes

I agree but it is a shame because I enjoyed the music

Mosaic games are SUPPOSED to be puzzles that you solve using logic period! I knew right away that I wasn't going to like this game when the tutorial directions told me to fill up the squares by guessing! Against my better judgement, I decided to continue, and it only got worse. The colors for the most part are unappealing and the various sized grids create pictures that are not only flat in appearance, but most are unrecognizable, there's not even a title of the picture afterwards, so I can say "oh now I get it!"

Picture in your mind what it would look like if you drew a grid on a whiteboard and used a few sharpies to color in some of the cells, and then marked out the remaining cells with a huge X, cause that's what it looks like. Calopsitta is spot on with the assessment that the giant X's are distracting, and the colors blend in too much with the background. I have a habit of using my cursor as a pointer to count cells, and this just made the chaos worse, because the second the cursor scans over a cell, that cell appears to fill in with the current color. It isn't permanent until you left click on the cell, but it makes it confusing because your brain sees a filled in tile, but that's just a habit I have, and I'm not sure if other griddler's use the cursor to count tiles??

For the most part, the mosaics can be solved using logic, but there were a couple of them that left me with no other choice but to either use a Power-up tool, or guess, which is very taboo in the Mosaic realm! There are 18 available Trophies to earn, which are referred to as souvenirs for some odd reason.

There are 12 rooms available, and 10 levels within the rooms, and you can replay the levels if you make a mistake, which will deduct a star from your score. Some of the correctly filled in cells will give you Coins that can be used in the Shop to purchase hint variations. The Magic of Light bonus opens up an area of 5 squares, 9 squares when upgraded. the Strength of Rose (btw spelled strengh) opens up 1 chosen square, 2 chosen squares when upgraded. The Power of Music opens 1 random square, 2 random squares when upgraded. You can also buy a Mistake feature that allows you to make up to 4 mistakes without losing, or up to 5 mistakes when upgraded. (which tells me there's going to be a whole lot of guessing coming down the pike) The other Mosaic game offered today was far superior to this game, I recommend you try that one and don't waste your time or energy on this one!

The title after each puzzle's solved could be more obvious, but once I caught on, no problem.

But where just about every other nonogram game has slightly heavier lines every five rows and columns, this one does it only occasionally, at least during the first hour. You end up using the cursor to count tiles, and that's an occasion of error, inadvertently clicking rather than just pointing.

And while I appreciate the artistic choice to make the working colors always the same as the final colors, I think it's the wrong choice. Far better to have the working colors distinct and adjust them only for the final ta-da! (Just as all those Xs disappear for the final display.)

I also wish that, like some other nonograms, this one had track control so that when you're moving your cursor along one row or column it can't stray into a neighboring one and cause errors.

It would be nice if when one points at a "souvenir" it told you what it was for. Maybe I was too hasty in the trophy room, but I didn't see anything come up to tell me.

The one thing this game does do right that some others don't is to require most--maybe all!--its puzzles to be solved as wholes, not self-contained within each color but working back and forth. Otherwise, what's the point?

There are plenty of other multicolor nonogram puzzles out there, and I'm willing to replay the many I have as long as they keep working, rather than pick up a new one with so many flaws. So not a buy for me.

This is a nice game. But, I can't tell some of the colors apart. Especially the first puzzle. If it was green, tan, black, ok.

Anyway, if they changed the colors so I could tell them apart I would buy the game.

Nice enough in it's way but too easy with the multi-colours and I didn't like the big grey 'X' they used. Something a bit more subtle would have been better. And the finished picture wasn't that obvious!

There's plenty of these games out there, many with a lot more of a challenge; Worlds Greatest Places 2 for example, which is both different and challenging!

Maybe I'll go for this game some time but not today

Although I prefer this interface (other than the X's) to last week's entry (Malcolm), I'm very disappointed in the game.

LOGIC! The whole point of these is to use your head to place the colors.

Unlike some, the similarity of the colors hasn't bothered me overly much, but I get very frustrated when the puzzle cannot be solved using pure logic.

I think I'll stick to the Fantasy Mosaics series from now on...and even with them there's an occasional "guess" necessary.
