It's pretty bad when a demo ends, and you're relieved it's over with. You've gotta wonder why Domini Games continues with this series, because they aren't improving, they just linger around the average rating range. In my opinion, the best game in this series was Her Own Eyes, which took place in a more current time frame. The old "plague of the 14th century" story line has been beaten to death, if I never play another game featuring cloaked doctors wearing beaked masks, I think I'll be better off! If you haven't played a lot of HOPA games, you might see this game in a different light, because you haven't seen the same plot told a gazillion different ways. Personally, I enjoy the CE version's of most games because I like the added challenge of finding Morphs and collectibles. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either, is right for you:

Title***Collector's Edition Release Date***Average Rating
1- The Lost Hope (January 25-2014) 4.0
2- The Twilight World (January 29-2015) 3.5
3- Alaskan Wild (August 24-2015) 3.8
4- Her Own Eyes (February 18-2016) 4.1
5- Eye of the Fire (September 29-2016) 3.4
6- The Hangman Returns (January 26-2017) 3.7
7- The House of Others (June 29-2017) 3.8
8- Dangerous Desires (October 14-2017) 3.0

The Collector's Edition version has 10 Concept Art pictures, 14, Wallpapers, 5 Music Soundtracks, 17 re-playable Hidden Object Scenes, 16 re-playable Mini Games, 35 Achievements to earn, 15 Morphing Cursed Weapons, 51 Collectible Coins to buy 15 Cursed Items for the Exhibit, Missing Note Pages, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.

Didn't even finish the demo. Too many mini games, not enough hogs. I wasn't impressed with the few hos I came across either. Do you ever notice how little time it takes to complete a hos compared to doing the puzzles? I won't even bother and skip them the majority of the time because they are stressful. Not my idea of relaxation at all and too many games are overwhelmed with them now. Even though the game flowed, it was exhausting going back and forth finding things to go here and there....and every time you turn around...there's a mini game. It's too much and distracts from the story.
