Where to begin. First off, I like match three games. I enjoy listening to soft music, perusing the board, and mapping out a strategy. Unfortunately, these things are not possible with this game. Music and sounds are either on or off, no way to lower the volume. I have collected lots of money according to my score, but there is nothing to do with it. No store to buy upgrades, bombs, or anything else. Finally, and for me the worst, there is no relaxed mode. If I wanted fast pace action, I would go to the Dojo. I play games to relax. Sorry, no buy for me, but hey try it for yourself. It's free. It might be your cup of tea.

I love a good Match 3 game and this one kind of reminds me of my favorite Cradle series. There are a few minor issues for my personal tastes, otherwise it's fairly decent. First off, I didn't see any setting for difficulty modes, so I'm assuming that a Timed mode is all that's offered. Personally I'm okay with that because I don't turn to a Match 3 game for relaxation, I turn to Solitaire or Mosaic games when I want to chill, but this may be an important feature for others, so it's worth mentioning. The music is pleasant, but tends to get repetitive, and it does switch between a piano and guitar type of melody.

There are 21 Achievement Trophies to earn, and any level can be replayed by going to the level map, if you weren't able to earn all 3 Stars, which again, is my personal preference to play until I earn all 3 Stars. I think the biggest flaw this game has, is that you can't really upgradeyour power-ups, and there's nothing to build or work towards, other than a personal best per level?? The most annoying feature to me was the fact that it takes so long to end the level. Completing the goals is fairly quick, but afterwards it takes forever for the board to do its auto play, finishing up all the power-ups you have remaining on the board. I would much rather lose the power-up then to have to wait several seconds watching them explode, before I can move onto the next level. If I completed the level goal, what do I care about extra points, its not like I get to buy something with the points??

There are the usual obstacles such as Frozen Tiles that require several matches adjacent to them to chip away the ice, or chains that require matches of whatever gem is trapped within. There are Mosaic type cells that require matches over them to break the cell, and each level has a different goal requiring a specified number of points earned, or specific numbers of specific gems to be collected.

Large Matches will give you a power-up on the board, that must be included in a match with the same colored gem as the Power-up. The Horizontal Bomb destroys tiles in a horizontal line, the Cross Bomb destroys tiles in a row and column, the Tornado mixes up or shuffles all gems, and the Fire Rain power-up sends down a rain of firebombs to destroy several random tiles, and the regular Bomb destroys a 9 tile radius. Each level gives you 3 power-ups at a time.

The tiles are very large, so there shouldn't be an issue with being able to see the board well enough, for those who have difficulty seeing small items, and they are of different colors and shapes, so it's easy to tell them apart from one another. The first 20 levels are fairly easy, but each level becomes increasingly more difficult after that. I like the fact that several large matches are obtainable, which make a Match 3 game more fun in my opinion. When games never seem to give you the opportunity to make matches of more than 3 tiles at a time, it just gets boring after a while. If this game didn't take so long between levels (it's my need for speed I suppose) I would have given Athens Treasure 5 stars, enjoy!

Thank goodness for pennmom36 in that she explains most of the basic game play and features of this game, which saves me from having to repeat a lot of details!
There are some levels with limited moves, but most of the levels are timed. I have just played the demo (got close to level 40) and I had plenty of time. I don't know how many levels are in the entire game, but I didn't have any problems obtaining 3 stars up to that point in the demo.

I'm not sure if I will be buying this game yet, because even though I like the size of the boards and tiles, as well as the smooth movement of the tiles, there is nothing that really excites me about the game. Maybe if the devs had added a building feature or "something" to work towards, that might help! Just reading "You're the Master" at the end of each 3 star level -- doesn't "do it" for me (at least in this game)!
I realize only too well how just playing a demo doesn't necessarily indicate how the rest of the game may turn out, but you would think that by level thirty-something, you would sort of know!

The devs didn't provide you with certain features that we have become accustomed to, such as: a player profile creation; a help section; a choice of difficulty; or volume controls of sound and music (just on/off). When I first saw that none of these features were provided, I thought the actual game play was going to be subpar, but at least the ease of play was a nice surprise.

Normally I wouldn't take the time to write a review of a game that I'm not sure I like, but a good friend asked what I thought of it, and I don't like letting a good friend down!

So....even though the answer is "I'm not sure", (it could be my mood today) you'll just have to try the demo and decide if it's worth your time!

I made it to level 45 before the time ran out. But it was really boring, no upgrades, nothing to do with all the points you accumulate, what's the point? It's like going back to the beginning of computer games.

Got all 3 stars on the first set of 25. Thereafter, a few with only 2 or even 1, and still don't know why.

In any case, a very ordinary match 3. The fire from heaven is a nice graphic, moves are indeed easy to make, but nothing special.

Not a buy for me.

The music is too loud, and the game is boring. I'm surprised that this is a current game; with the lack of any point to it, I thought it would be an older game (it just popped up on the bottom of my "based on your interest in..." list and I thought I might try it).

No sale.
