I'm not sure about this one; I found it a bit silly in places and lacking that special 'something'. Sadly you're stuck with a helper; Joe the fox, who fidgets and makes noises whenever asked to do something, as if it's too much effort. And you have to give him boots to cross a puddle of water. Do foxes in the wild wear boots?? I must make sure to watch out for that
It's pretty enough, with plenty of sparkle as you might expect from a Christmas themed game. For once Elephant seem to have grasped the meaning of the 'no sparkles' option in the scenes but I suspect it would have got lost in the general glitter-fest, so they probably just left it out for this game.
The puzzles were the best part for me; nothing particularly new but at least something that required thinking about. However I really hate those 'jump one thing over another until there's one piece left' puzzles, so that one was skipped. The HOS are nicely done, with variety and nothing to hard to find. There are multiple collectibles; morphing snowmen, jigsaw pieces and 'guests' in various guises. Some were quite tricky to spot. I didn't note the extras or how many chapters.
The story is basically 'wicked witch ruins wedding by turning the guests into assorted objects and animals'. You are their only hope; no pressure then. I think Elephant have struggled to better the wonderful 'Nutcracker' and this game is a pale shadow of that triumph. It's pretty and sparkly but lacklustre and a bit boring. I might go for the SE just to find out what happens but I give this CE a 'Bah Humbug' rather than a 'Merry Christmas'
No technical issues with the demo, which ended with 25 minutes remaining. Desktop running Win7 Prof 64-bit.

Curses! The evil witch has cursed everyone who attended the Royal Wedding of Prince Edward and Rose! (it's a good thing I was late!) This is no ordinary curse, that witchy woman turned everyone into something else, it's a good thing the best man is now a fox, how else would I have strung the Christmas lights on that gigantic tree? (hey, don't laugh, the wedding may be off, but Christmas must go on!) Poor Rose is, well, she's still a Rose, but now she's a Rose with thorns, and roses don't last long. Their only hope for normalcy, is to repair the clock that cursed them, when the clock strikes Midnight, the curse will end. Unfortunately this clock isn't striking anything, because it's missing vital parts, 2 ornamental pieces, 2 gears and 2 screws, which is the equivalence of finding a needle in a haystack, compared to the size of the Royal Palace. Everyone has a stake in this cursed game, so you'll be assisted by some pretty unusual wedding guests, on this magical Christmas adventure!
Christmas just isn't Christmas until Christmas Stories releases their annual magical game. There are 3 Christmas themed games that I so look forward to each and every year. This game has beautiful Christmas themed music, gorgeous graphics, and a whimsical story adaptation of the classic tale, A Little Prince, what could be better? You're not going to experience any logic in this silly game, after all, how logical is a curse that has turned people into pianos, foxes and mice? None of that matters, what matters is the entertainment factor, and I hope you like solving puzzles, because there's enough Mini Games and Puzzles to stretch out two different games in this Christmas themed game! This Collector's Edition is worthy of it's namesake, because there are so many collectibles. Each Scene has a Morphing Snowman, and at least one hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Piece, and some scenes contain collectible Wedding Guest Figures. The only disappointment I have with this 6th game in the series, is that there aren't many objects you can interact with, other games in this series, have had presents you could open or various decorations you could fiddle with for absolutely no reason other than entertainment. I should at least be able to shake a snow globe or throw a snowball! (come on Elephant, be creative!)

What a lovely, lovely game. I really enjoy this wonderful game by Elephant Games. The colours are great, as are the graphics, and - so far - the puzzles have been easy enough for me to do without using the skip button, which I prefer.
A big thank you, and Merry Christmas to everyone at Elephant Games.

YEAH, IT'S HERE!!
I have been eagerly waiting for this game to come out. I always enjoy Elephant's Christmas Stories and have saved up my money to grab up this years masterpiece. I am downloading it immediately.
I will return with my review after playing the demo, but I'm sure I'm going to love it. Elephant always has such great graphics, color, Christmas music, fun puzzles and HOG's in their Christmas games. I have them all and loved each one so far.
Thank you Elephant for your masterpieces you produce! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

When I tried the beta for A Little Prince I found that it didn't hold my interest but when I tried the demo I found it fun and challenging at times. The further I go into the game the more I like it.
The Christmas Stories games have been ones that I look forward to each year. I love the soundtrack and the beautiful graphics AND the mini-games are a bit more difficult. The HOPS are creative and have interaction that really makes them fun. I know a lot of gamers really don't like helpers and at times my pal Joe does make noises that I can live without BUT at other times his antics make me smile.
For me this is a beautiful and enjoyable game. It really is one that you can play with the younger members of your family during the holidays. Not everyone will like the game but I find it perfect and at least for me I think it is one of the best since the Nutcracker.

Haha, you and me both. And to make matters worse, the puzzle has three stages.
You can tell from the opening scene what kind of game this is going to be. I tried, but I just could not get into it. If anything, there is simply too much to do.
Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas & holiday season.
Happy gaming!

Not for me. Boring, cutsie little helpers are passe', puzzles are basic and the hos are just meh....Pretty much standard for this dev.

mhatfie wrote:I too am loving this game. Everything about it is lovely. The hops are fun, the mini games are fun and the game is bright, cheerful, and colorful. Too bad we only get a game like this once a year.
I am with you, mhatfie, in that we don't get enough, if any, colourful games anymore. Every one of them is dark and consists just of turquoise/purple shades. So this Christmas game really cheered me up.
