Well, that's a shame, but not really a surprise.

This forum has been a great laugh for the the last year or so, long after the game was basically done.

Hopefully this new game "that will be available soon" will be in a similar vein and we can all get together again.

Thanks to all those that helped me with Sunken Secrets.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It's so sad because I only started playing last Spring but I had kind of guessed this might happen. As I am nowhere near level 125 I think I might continue playing for a while until the new game heaves into sight.

To all those leaving whose paths I have crossed I hope we will meet in the new game and thank youj for all your help.

Finally, Happy Christmas to everyone and I wish you all a healthy and prosperous New Year.

I am so disappointed but not surprised that there will be no new content. I will sell all my remaining inventory to help other players and then I will unfollow my friends so if they continue to play, I will not be a game clogging their followers list.

It will take me a little while to sell my inventory so I won't be unfollowing anyone immediately unless they ask me to.

I hope I will meet up with many of you in other strategy/time management games.

This is sad news indeed. The game had so much potential, a large following (when things were actually being updated) and a nice theme.

Ah well, off to play something that has more love from it's developers.

I too will start selling off my inventory and packing it in. I was so close to hitting 1000 on my inventory, etc. but it all seems kind of pointless now.

Well that's sad ... it was so challenging but also so much fun in the early days.
RIP SS

I will unfollow as well in a few days after I sell off my inventory.

Bummer but think will make a customer complaint, a constructive one on how to make money off of this game. Maybe get it back or use the info for future games. Still we should have the seasonal events so everyone can get those items.

If a new similar game is released, I might not notice it. So if it happens, if anyone feels like dropping me a PM, that would be great.

It really is sad news. I agree with you LInalie, that this game has so much potential that has not been realized.

The promise of "Coming Soon" has kept many of us hoping for exciting new content. The fact that BFG doesn't care about keeping promises has caused me to reconsider playing any FTP games and even whether I will even keep my club membership. I've been a member for 10 years, but have remained a member in order to get the discount on FTP extras.

You can't use your monthly club membership fees to buy any FTP items, and I'm tired of the same old games with new graphics a waste of time money. Their continued focus on evil is also a bit tiring and I find it hard to find any new games that focus on happiness . . . its all doom and gloom.

Sunken Secrets offered something fresh and exciting and I enjoyed checking into the game every morning and throughout the day. The events, even the weekend ones, were fun and I miss them. Again another promise broken. I think I've only completed 18 of the promised 35 in the achievement area. No integrity to the continued support of players who truly love this game. Why should I remain loyal to a gaming company who clearly has no regard for their customers?

This game was truly a gold mine they have simply abandoned. How unfortunate. I hope the new owners find success in multiplying their interest in casino games. (BFG was sold Nov 30, google it.)

I for one do not intend to play casino games, so what is the point of staying? When I first signed on the for the club membership, they offered live chat to help with any game problems. Now, if you have a problem you have to wait 2 days for any acknowledgement or help. Why bother?

I have enjoyed this game so much I feel lost this morning. I feel like a close friend has died. I'll probably do as one person posted and sell off my items for those still playing and enjoying the game then unfriend those still playing so as not to burden a dead island on those still playing.

Thank you all for visiting my island, you'll all be missed - deeply.

What a shame!
I came to this game as I was a bit jaded with Midnight Castle
Now having reached the 80's levels I am both irritated and saddened they are not progressing with the game.
They could even have repeated the Seasonal events for many of us who missed out on the original times.
I for one will be VERY wary of doing any new BFG FTP games, especially as I am prepared to spend real "gold" on them to progress.

I do hope that this "philosophy" does not happen on ay of the other games that I play

Of course
I used to look every day at the new games, but it's very rare nowadays that I find something that isn't a Hidden Object or Match 3, so I look less frequently.

Great!

And, Uhm, i mean rightaway okay. Not when you are already on level 10 or so and i can't catch up with you anymore!

For now;
- unfollow every high level player in my list
-unfriend every player who didnt buy anything from my market anyway

-befriend low level players in my followerslist who still play
-follow new low level players
And sell off ALL my stuff!
And stop playing altogheter when i reached level 119 (for sentimental reasons)

So have a bit time left to slowly kick the habit of playing this game.

Sad but not surprised. I held out hope for a Halloween event, but when that didn't happen and then no Winter Event ... well that sort of confirmed it.

I really liked this game and the concept, but it had a few issues. Like the vulgar game names and the market raiders that drove a lot of people away.

I'd like to see a similar game with the markets, I really liked that aspect of the game. Don't have to gift anyone or keep track of gifts lists, just leisurely put stuff out and folks buy what they want. But it would need more control over friends and followers. They could use the by invitation only like other FTP games. If you don't like the name ... decline. Raiders can be unfriended. Like other FTP games, when there is an event, we could have temporary event friends.

But I must say ... we did have a lot of fun with this game in the beginning. Anyone remember the Potato event LOL.

So, I am still going to keep my game ... I don't play everyday anymore. But sometimes I like to go in and stay for a bit.

and ... I suppose I can unload those gazillion ballon boxes now.

Hello Everyone,

I want to thank everyone for the time and the passion they invested in Sunken Secrets. As bfgMurrumbidgee said in the announcement they made yesterday, the decision to stop providing content updates for a game is never made lightly. We realize how much Sunken Secrets means to you, and we always strive to honor the commitment you've shown this game. I want to assure you that I'll pass all of the feedback in this thread along to the teams behind the games. You're also welcome to PM me or another moderator if new questions arise or if you'd like to discuss Sunken Secrets further. We're always here to help.

Gee, it would have been nice to have had one last event, just to see who saved up the most balloon baskets, LOL.
