sorry to hear about your conundrum denis...
i found that if i walked around looking for baddies to jump out and attack me, i gained exp/hp faster and if i kept up with my skills, i was usually laughing during the fight scenes because i'd have the enemy stunned, blind, and bleeding in the first round and then i'd let belinda whack 'em with her hammer until they were dead... of course, if you can get duros to give lorelai that horn, you almost never have to worry about hp because the characters regenerate on their own...
but then i'm on my third time around and still having fun!
better luck next time! maybe you should try lilly and sasha??

I'm glad to hear others are as frustrated with all the fighting as I am. I had decided I'm just too old to be successful at this game. I enjoyed the Aveyond series SO much more. I've gotten my characters all leveled up into the 30's, and have added every skill available, and still get annihilated a lot. My main complaint is not being able to easily add MPs. None of the good skills or spells are doable after one use, because the MP goes down too far. Anyone got any help for me in maintaining MP? I am on my way to Ardelia's Castle, but keep getting killed by the big red thing called a garuda or something. I'm thinking I don't have the patience or will to finish the game. . . Does anyone know if Lilly and Sasha is the same type?

When I had beta testers play Deadly Sin, I used skilled RPG veterans. It's all part of the learning process, this time around I'm using a wider variety of players to beta test, so that the challenge level is more appropriate for a wider audience.
Please be patient with me, this is my first game, and one of the biggest things I've learned is that this market tends to lean toward lighter/easier experiences, rather than challenging or intense.
My 2nd game is a million times more user friendly, with many user interface options, and a battle difficulty option (easy medium hard) and no real-time challenges. I believe the 2nd game will fit much better with a greater range of players, especially since the first game was just me, and the 2nd game is still mostly me, but with a small team involved.
I'm no stranger to hearing that Aveyond is "SO MUCH BETTER" (how many times can one hear that and not be totally discouraged) but I believe part of that is because it's basically a different genre of RPG that is aimed at a much different crowd than mine is. Please note that I know Amanda well, I have great respect for her and appreciate the help she has offered. People download RPGs on the internet expecting Aveyond made by someone else, and they'll be disappointed, because only Aveyond is Aveyond, and other RPGs aim to stand on other merits. I have not played Aveyond very much, so I do not personally know the unique appeal it seems to have, but I am certainly not in this business to try and copy someone else's creative direction to make a quick buck, I'm much more focused on my own brand. I want to be in this business for the right reasons, and I feel that by following my own inspiration, that I am.

Great! Can't wait to try it.

Wow! I thought the game was good... now that you say it is your first game I really think it is a GREAT first game. Congartulations, Harmonic42.
I'm in a bit of a rough period right now and I can't sit for more than 10 continuous minutes to play, so I'm doing mostly just the BF demos through the day. I was caught up in a slight "frustrated" state with Deadly Sin (especially since Glade was back to himself, in other words getting killed and getting everyone killed too), but I'm hoping when I can spend a longer time playing I will manage to finish your game.
I will also be waiting for your next release. It sure sounds good!

Let me first say, I absolutely LOVED THIS GAME...
That is, until I got to Ardelia.
The fight with her takes way too god damn long to end up getting killed every time. I've fought her several times, each time taking more than a half hour or more and I can't even get her to less than 40,000hp. If I try to damage her, I can't keep up with the threat and she kills the party members one by one. If I put all my eggs in one basket with Dori, it just takes longer to die.
I like challenging end bosses, don't get me wrong, but I'm just sick of fighting her. 50,000 hps is just WAY too much. Ideally, a boss should kill you the first few times, but you should be able to devise a workable stradegy to take them out.
She's just too hard to kill, so I lost interest. None of the other bosses were anywhere near this hard. I'm going to keep at it, just cause I hate losing, but is there something I'm missing? Some item I need that I missed? Is there some trick to exploit?
I feel like I'm playing Dungeons and Dragons and we pissed off the DM by figuring out his riddle so he throws a pit fiend at us to make a point...
That being said, The game is a lot of fun and I'd love to play more like it.

This game isn't "Un-fun", it's just doesn't seem to suitable for RPG novice, challanging battles, tricky strategy, extremely difficult bosses, etc took me quite sometimes to finish the game. I'm a very experience RPG's player, I've play through a lot of games like Aveyond, Lilly and Sasha, Eternal Eden, etc but this game is a very challange for a RPG's veteran like me (even though I haven't died once in this game ) The only thing I disappointed about this game is the ending I didn't really like it though. But Aveyond have its own unique gameplays and so your games, most player play this game in the first time will said that this game is bad, that game is so much better bla bla bla but don't despair and keep fighting
