You need to take the coal and use it on the journal on the bed. (near the head I think)

love this game but last couple levels had difficulty finishing now once again stuck have gone into note book ( its behind laptop and is flashing) rubbed coal over page to get message but its not letting me finish what am i doing wrong ?
