I am stuck in the Garage/backyard/cellar

I have the key for the chest in the cellar, I can't find the handle to the vise. nor any gloves for the second card in the backyard. I have no idea what this "extras" menu is. Can anyone help?

I, too, am stuck in the cellar and can't figure out how to open the box, even though I have the key. The extra menu with the guide is when you first fire up the game gut in the lower left, rather than the right side to play. But I still can't figure this one out.

The box needs a extra dial. Wander upstairs.
