It's like they designed this game to be great for one hour, the trial, then it's just a boring repetitive mess. I'm on level 17, bored to tears, also going HINT crazy to get this over with.

The game is clearly marked as containing explicit language. If you don't like it, move on. Several people do not mind this content. Why deprive them of what could otherwise be a good game?
As for "cartoony and cutesy", so is South Park, and I don't let kids watch it.

Well, I exited the game, came back in and it let me continue getting pieces. However....
bribling wrote:One other question: I have the Teapot but can find no hot spot for it. There are three hot spots for items I have not got yet. I can't find any other pieces, even with that great magnifier. The Hint is no good because it just tells me to find a place to use the Teapot. Hello - how dumb do they think I am? So, I can't find the spot but, yes, I know I have to do something with that pot. I tried pouring a cup of tea, that didn't work. I tried putting it on those other, obviously wrong, spots. That didn't work. So, what do I do with the Teapot?
I'm having the same problem. No hotspot for the teapot and I can't find the other pieces (1 of each item.)

I just started the demo and in the tutorial it shows me the 3 parts of the teapot then it puts the teapot in the inventory and tells me to pick it up. I pick it up but it doesn't seem to detect that I picked it up and I can't do anything else.

Too simple. Horrible translations for some objects. Virtually unlimited hints. Although a couple of puzzles were way out there. How about the one where you have to figure out like a 10 digit combination in 6 attempts with no other hints than "that's the right digit, that's not" I skipped that one.
I played the free hour and I'm pretty sure I made it until almost the end.
I was very happy to see a HO game since the games this week have been very uninspired, but I guess we'll just have to wait a little longer for something worth a credit.

The game sounded interesting and fun but I'm really disappointed with it. It seems like it was rushed out. Every screen has a mountain of objects at the bottom as if they didn't want to bother hiding things cleverly, the first challenge was a puzzle (really? I'm so tired of puzzles) and then next thing I know I'm playing some lame shoot'em up? The coins challenge was at least original, I had never come across it. It took me a couple attempts to figure out what I was doing and I did enjoy that little bit.
The whole thing just seemed weird. I played my free hour and moved on. Too bad, the idea and theme had potential.

Fun game, I enjoyed the theme as well. Definitely not depressing.
I just wish the game music would change with each land. It gets very repetitive.

With that said, I have to say that I think it is just wrong for the game to keep clicking the time while doing things that keep me from playing through. For instance, Allie is trapped over the fire, I get one of the pyramids cleared or two, then have to get a new hand. The clock keeps ticking while Tex gets killed on his chest quest and then wait for the new hand to be dealt. The clock should stop for the workings of the game, only keep ticking as long as I am playing out a hand.
I agree with you but I found this trick. Play the game in window mode, not full screen. The moment you finish your hand, click away from that window and select something else. The game will go through the death or winning sequence and deal you new cards but the clock will not move. Once your new game is ready to be played, click back in the window and continue playing. It's much easier now.

Once in a while you get to play a mini game that's rather silly.

Glad I'm not the only one.

I will admit that I am disturbed about this issue. It is now pretty much April and this game nor only does it not work, but it is still on sale. They should either release a fix for it or take the OS X version off the site.

As a fan of the movie, I found this game fun. Not the mechanics of it, it's rather simple and I completed it in a few hours, but the storyline, which follows the movie very closely.

I think this game was absolutely gorgeous, just like the first one. Each scene was pure eye candy.
I personally enjoyed the robot scenes a lot more than the fairy tale ones but I loved the game from beginning to end.
I was happy that this game was longer than the first.
My hat goes off to the miniature artist(s), this game is pure art mixed with fun and I look forward to more.

I had to do the same thing. I'm guessing it had to do with the way the H, N, and S were turned. Probably not how the game expected them.
It was one of the few things I found frustrating about the game. The dark scenes also drove me crazy. Find 9 dark grapes in a screen that is mostly black, are you crazy? I finally had to go to the walkthrough, find the locations and click randomly until I got them.
Overall I enjoyed the game but it was too frustrating at times, not because of the difficulty level, but because of some poor design choices.

I wasted an obscene amount of hours on this game until I got 5 stars in every level and collected every stamp. Loved it. I wish the newer Slingo games were also released for the Mac.

I wish this was released for the mac. I just spent hours playing Slingo Quest.

I'm having the same problem. The game crashes when I try to go to the Invisible Man book.

I played the trial at the Expert difficulty level and I found the 3 gems so I wondered if this was a short game. But then I started traveling through time. It was this 2nd part that gave me hope that this game would keep me busy for at least the rest of the day and even an extra day. My trial expired then.
So I spent a credit on it. I was done 20 minutes later. I felt ripped off as well.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, I had fun playing it, but it was so short.
