This game plays at a nice fast pace.
The poses of the "characters" are rather "cheesy", and the dialog is a lil stilted, but all-in-all, plays well.
Seriously considering buying it!

TY Margie,
I was struggling with the water puzzle, and opted to "skip". Found myself in the outer room with an empty goblet. Everytime I clicked on the doorway to the room with the water I was told that "now I can get water". After reading your email I returned to the game and verifyed that the bgoblet was empty, and thought to pick it up and put it in the doorway, and then I found the answer.
Hold the cup in the doorway, and it fills with water!
TY for your kindness and encouragement!

Is ths a glitch or am I missing something?....I was going to buy this game, but will not, if there is no "walkthrough".

The waljkthrough was turned in before we had problems with the site on Friday, however, a lot of behind the scenes things have not been restored yet. We cannot post the walkthrough until we get full access to everything.

If you need help with something just post here and we can help you.

Could some one please let me know when a walkthrough is available?
Thank-you.

I must say that this is one of the BEST games I have purchased here!

I would recommend this game for ALL ages but especially for young girls ages 12 and up, due to the positive role model of Annabel.
So heads up to parents and other family members, this game would make a GREAT gift!

AS I said above it is good for all ages, I am a Grandmother and found the game quite entertaining!

Graphics are beautiful, highly detailed, and run smoothly.
Just enough ( believable) dialog to carry the storyline.

I would have liked a slightly longer story/game, there was a bit of trouble for me with my vertigo, with the swift, smooth movement in some areas.

But altogether, this has been the best game I have bought here!
Somebody please let me know when this team of software designers/game developers puts out another game?
I want to be the first to try it!

OK, when did I become a shapeshifter? ROTFL
I am such a newby here, what is the significance to "Morphing"?
I love the search and find games.
Actually the TV Network is APTN Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and you can find them online.
If memory serves Gary Farmer is the CEO, Gary was an actor, his role in "Pow-wow Highway" is quite memorable, in fact, that is the movie that he tells a Coyote Story!
Nowa Goha for speaking in a language so close to mine! Makes me feel quite at home here.

Please read my last post regarding the word "Iroquois".

I agree that we have been portrayed as one of 2 poles "bloodthirsty savages" or "the noble savage"
And just like everyone, the truth is nearer the middle.
The majority of my people that I have discussed this movie with also dislike it. I think it is time we tell our own stories, from our own perspective.
May I suggest a PBS Miniseries of docu-dramas called "Daughters Of The Country"?
Another movie called (if memory serves) "Dream Keeper".
Also a short lived children s TV series starring Rufus Goodstriker called "Walking with Grandfather"?
Will suggest more as I remember them, if you like?

Have you PM'd a Mod to look at this thread, or just to express your concerns?

Don't get me started on Hollywood!

One movie I, and the educators at the Native American historical site that is near me(they are NAs) like is BLACK ROBE. Have you seen it?

Lilyr,
I do not know how to reach a Mod about this.
And the mention of "Black Robe" makes my blood pressure rise like a rocket!
Since it is my direct Ancestors they speak of in this movie!
Another "stereotype" the assumption that all "Huron" are extinct!
Firstly, "Huron" is a french word! 16th century slang! Direct translation = Boars Head.
Was used to denote a peasant, a stupid ugly person of no redeeming value, etc.
We call ourselves "Wendat, Wyandot, Wyandotte" which means "people by the water", a much more accurate description!
And last estimate was that we number 8,000+!
So rumors of our extinction are greatly exaggerated!

The word "Iroquois" is also french for "poisonous viper". The proper name for this Confederacy is : Hodenoshonee - the people who are building the Longhouse.

THUNK! That loud noise was me falling off my soapbax and landing on my dignity!
LOL

Thank-you for reading my words!

Mojave_Rain wrote:I can only assume that the developers thought that Native American beliefs are something of the far distant past like that of Mount Olympus and the Pyramids rather than a living religion, which it is.

That said when I played the demo I have to admit I wondered just what kind of furor would have arisen had the game portrayed Jesus Christ, Mohammed and Moses talking in silly voices and trivializing/misrepresenting aspects of their respective religions.

Mojave Rain,
I thank-you for making the point so eloquently!

I live by my traditional beliefs.
Our stories are sacred, told at certain times of year only.
Yes, Coyote stories are told in many Native Nations cultural traditions.
But WHY should game makers take and twist our stories for personal gain?
Most folks, I am sad to say, don't know any better, and Hollywood has portrayed us in such a way that folks don't learn the truth of us. Games like this promote "stereotyping", which simply increases the lack of true understanding between my people and "mainstream society".
I certainly hope that our children will not attempt to learn our culture from games like this!

Casinos and lack of respect for women IS NOT a part of my Ancestral Ways.

Also, when I was teaching a workshop at the local College, I was asked by a Foreign Exchange student if we have a "pantheon of Gods, similar to the Greeks and Romans" and asked if we "worships animal spirits as Gods"?
The answers were/ are NO and NO.

The word "totem" is a mispronunciation of the Algonquin word "do-dem" which loosely translates to " the clay/earth of..." , which is how I describe my CLAN.

Out of respect for other peoples cultures, I do not tell their stories, as in my ignorance I may cause offense or hurt, or simply, again in ignorance, may perpetuate an image that is less than honest.

How do we tell Big Fish games that this is not acceptable?

And yes, descendants of the Aztec and Mayan people are still around, I cannot comment on their culture, as I do not know it well.

To all who responded to my original post, I thank-you for replying, and for your thoughtfulness regarding this issue!

The letters to Socrates name, will not stick to the wall?
Is there a trick to it, or is this another software "glitch"?
Will I have to restart the game?
TY for reading this.

Another attack by the "Culture Vultures"!
This is a fairly well made game, but it seems that more and more games play upon the "savages" "shamans" etc.
How dare the programmers portray Native Peoples as primitive savages?
Promoting this kind of stereotyping offends me and my Ancestors!
How dare the word "totem" be used with such ignorance of its true meaning?
Stop stealing story lines based on misinformation of my culture please?
TY for reading my words.

This is supposed to be somewhere in the ocean, and yet I can almost recognize the Native North American song that you can hear in the background.
