Who is so tired of all these Hidden Object games that seem to just spew junk all over a scene that has nothing to do with the scene? Have they bothered to look at some of the better games like our favored Mystery Case Files series?
GAH - I see the screen shots and ask myself - what is the point???

GAH!!! I haven't been here in a loooong time but happened to stop by and saw this thread! I'm SUPPOSED to be working but I'm finding it impossible to concentrate!

Instead of getting a yangala-cola book from the library, I get a mushroom guide, which is no use at all. I can't get out of Barrockstadt without it.
My book said mushrooms too but the story inside was about the Yangala-cola. I had no problem progressing with this mushroom book

I am uninstalling from the control panel.. I first deleted my player profile, and than I uninstalled with the control panel.. I reinstalled the game, and just played, and it froze at the fireplace again.. When the game freezes, she says please don't leave yet, finding the secret passage is only the beginning (or something very similar to that).. When tech support wrote me back, she told me to try the same thing, to uninstall the game manager and game and to reinstall. She never gave me a yes or no answer as to whether they are working on the issue.. I am going to respond to her that it isn't seeming to work for me and I would like an answer on whether they will fix it or not... I'll let you know what her response is.. I'm glad that it is working for some of you guys, but you shouldn't have to uninstall and reinstall each time you want to play the game.
Hi pinkskies...I am uninstalling the game manager from the bfg client folder in Program files. I do not uninstall the game or my profile. I simply uninstall the game manager then go to my purchase list and "install" the game agaim. This allows the game manager to reinstall. Then when I go to play, the game works fine. It is a pain to do it each time but I guess if you want to play bad enough. Actually it seems like I only have to do it if I shut down or reboot my computer - verry weird!! I'm so sorry you haven't gotten the game to work yet!!

I just uninstalled the BFG manager and reinstalled it. The game picked up at the secret passage. When I exited the game we were back to the black screen, so I uninstalled and reinstalled again and played for a while. The third time it refuses to let me uninstall the BFG manager, I don't have permision????? I am the administrator and should have permision to do anything. So here I am black screen and all. Bummer, I really hoped this would work.

Isn't that a great feeling after all we've been through!
As an FYI, when I went to play tonight I got the dreaded black screen and the frozen cursor again (when I left I was in the beauty parlor). I again uninstalled the bfg client, reinstalled and the game worked fine again.
I've notified tech support of this. I sure don't want to have to do this every time I play!!

well I'm not sure about that - my problem was very different. Maybe one of the other people here could help. If you have the right symbols in the right place and the sun & moon, the handle should work!
