I'm down to 5 chips and have been since the end of the first day that the slot machine appeared. The last two free spins have had two lines hit. I don't remember exactly the combinations but the minimum would be 5 chips for each line. So 2 lines times 5 chips times 2 free spins is 20 chips. However I still only have 5 chips. Been in and out several times. Clicking on the Spin lever only brings up a window telling me that I have 5 chips, the required chips is 10 and that I should buy more.

I'm at level 64 with just under 400 neighbors. I visit each one daily but no longer have time to play their blitzes. I have over 2000 energy and over 50 energy gifts.

The problem is that I probably have gifts that I can't see and should be sending gifts in return. Since I can't see, I can't send gifts. Fix this.

Thanks for the sentiment.

I would have been happy if others could have gotten it too.

Are all on-line games like this? You can't play them and do other things at the same time?

No longer able to start DM - it tells me to do the update.

New update has 'fixed' my benefit. If DM is not the last window that I click on/in, it now pauses again with the 'Come back! We Miss You!' message displayed.

Well Done BF/Tomozaru!

HoosierAmy - I don't have a problem with shutting DM down. Exiting works just fine. What I have is a recent benefit that I guess noone else got and that is that I can do other activities on my PC and DM will continue as an active window. If I check for forum activity, my Walkers continue to walk. If I'm reading through my emails, my Walkers continue to walk. And so forth. I'm not complaining.

The only thing that I was interested in was the Devil Slot attractions as they pay 700s/1h and I'm maxed out on all the other attractions.

I exited DM and restarted Windows. Started DM from the icon and it still continues to run if I access the desktop or another application. Exited again and started the BigFish Game Manager. Manually checked for updates and there is one for DM. Since I currently do not have any problems that I know of with DM, I will not apply the second update at this time.

Perhaps someone else has a similar experience?

Around two hours ago I reduced my to token count to 5. Actually it wasn't very hard for me - it was more amazing that I could play for so long and that I got an attraction. Anyway, it's after 10:00pm PDT, 'new day' has run and my token count is 5 but I did get one free spin.

I played only using 10s. I was down to 1700s when I got mine.

No. I won't buy tokens for the slot machine.

I finally got the attraction too and two bars of gold. Played 10s at a time and hit it as I got down to 1700. Took hours - every once in a while I went back to the manor to pick up silver and JuJu and to let the Walkers do their thing.

I seemed to have read that there were possibly two PC updates yesterday. I took the early one and have not checked to see if I have another. I'll check tomorrow.

Now I'm a bit worried. Hopefully when I eventually exit and shut my PC down tonight, I'll still have this functionality tomorrow...

Are you on Windows 8.0 too?

Don't particularly care for the casino.

Really like the new chapter selection.

Haven't tried the neighborhood blitzes. Am still collecting the free neighborhood stuff (energy, silver, Xp).

Haven't tried any of the HO scenes yet.

The main change that I see is how the game is running in Windows. I have a non-touch PC, Windows 8.0 and don't use FaceBook. I run DM in reduced size. On my 24" monitor this allows me to stream a video in another reduced window. Prior to this update, doing anything outside the DM window caused DM to suspend - everything stopped and another window popped up to cover most of it and announced that it missed me and wanted me to come back. DM would not continue until I click on it again. I would have to start my video then make DM active and the video would continue to play. Click on the video, on the desktop, opening Notepad - doing anything else would suspend DM. Now DM continues to run even while I'm typing this in Notepad and even if I minimize it. I think that this is great.

I just have a regular PC. First time or two that I started the updated DM it started with the tutorial and I thought everything had been lost. However after I exited and restarted for the third time, all my stuff was there.

Hi Plum_crazy,

A search through the Dark Manor forum for 'windowed mode' brings up a response by LaReinaGitana in the 'People locked out of their manor' discussion:

'I also found that it helps to use the windowed rather than the full-screen format. You do that by clicking on the gear/cog at the upper right, and getting the pull-down menu. It will give you a choice to turn full screen off or on. Turn it off to message (giving you the windowed mode) and on to play (giving you fell screen).'

In windowed mode it's easier to change the manor name and to create messages. I personally use Notepad to create my message and then cut and paste into the Dark Manor mailbox window. Be aware that there is a 187 character limit to the length of mailbox messages.

If you've visited neighbors, clicked on the mailboxes and have sent out several messages and haven't received any responses, the problem could just be with your message settings.

Click on the gear wheel at the top right of your manor's window. In the Options window that pops up, if there isn't a boxed area titled Message Settings then click on Messages at the bottom. Receive Messages must be On. If it's not On, then your Inbox (click the envelop at the bottom of the first Neighbors screen) will never show a count to the right of Messages and clicking on Messages will just bring up a window saying 'Visit Neighbors to send messages'. Even if messages have been sent you and are waiting for you to receive them they will not show until your Message Settings is On. Once it's turned On these messages will appear.

Neighbors list:

Once you have over 100 neighbors, instead of 'Press to load more.' it should be 'Press to load all.'. Thanks.
