When you are at the underside of the well, poke the bucket with the long stick and the bucket will be loose. Then go back through the house to the outside scene at the top of the well. Go to the close up of the well and turn the handle and the bucket will raise and the dull knife will be inside. Put the belt on the grinding stone in the Schoolhouse cellar and use it to sharpen the dull knife. Good luck!

If you have finished the telephone then you should go through the door to the left of the telephone to the area under the well. When you finish in the area under the well you will be able to find the R key. You go to the cottage through the door with the typewriter keys, not the cemetery. Goos luck!

You will get a jar later for the petrol. You have lots to do before you can find all the letters for the typewriter. Just keep looking for puzzles and hidden object games. Good luck!

I had the same problem in the Syberia game. This glitch was documented by the game developer and a patch was posted by the game developer when the game was first released several years ago. Unfortunately the patch will not intergrate with the Big Fish game manager to get into the game and apply the patch. I had to replay this area many times to finally make it past coming down the ladder. Then is froze again just after coming down the ladder when I tried to walk across the bridge. I finally resolved that glitch area by taking another path to the university through the glass green house so that I would not have to walk across the bridge. I hope you can get past the glitches and enjoy the game. It is the best large file game that I have ever played. I wish Big Fish had been able to apply the game developer's patch to that area before releasing the game on Big Fish. Good luck!

Put the ladder up against the gutter and look at the bird's nest in the gutter. Use the brick to break the window and go inside and explore that area. Good luck!

While the SKIP button is recharging you can mouse over it and it will light up green but when you click on it nothing will happen. There is a little round timer just above the SKIP button. When you use a Hint it turns orange then gradually turns back to gold as the timer recharges. The little timer clock that is just above the SKIP button has to be all gold with no orange showing in order for the SKIP button to work.

To unlock the Schoolhouse Cellar Door you have to go to the Gingerbread House and get the pink & green Potholder from a hidden object game. Look at the temperature scratched in the lower left corner of the Cellar Door. This number is random and changes from game to game. Go to the Toy Store and use the Potholder to set the temperature on the stove in the back left corner to match what is on the Cellar Door. Then look at the pattern of circles that light up on the top of the stove. This pattern is random and changes from game to game. Remember you are looking at it sideways at an angle. Keep that in mind when you go back to the cellar door because you will be looking at the cellar door at a straight ahead view. Go back to the cellar door and press the red circles until they match the pattern that was on the stove. Click on the button and the doors will crack open only slightly and then the scene will change. You will then be back in front of the School house. Go back over to the cellar and look inside and it should now be open. After the puzzle is solved the potholder will be gone from your inventory. Good luck!

The SKIP button is in the lower right corner. It is the HINT button until it charges up and becomes the SKIP button. Throughout the game there are 4 different number sequence puzzles. The numbers on the blackboard are one of those 4 puzzles. Each of the 4 puzzles is different. Towards the end of the game you will be able to find a key to use in the elevator so you can go all the way to the bottom floor. After you use the key there is a puzzle to solve. The 4 different number sequence puzzles solutions are the answers that you will need for that elevator puzzle. The Whack A Troll has a timer that goes to 100 on the left center and a score that goes to 100 on the right center. When your score reaches 100 the coin will come out of the mouth of the greenish yellow Whack A Troll that is on the upper right. Click on the coin and it will go into your inventory. This game also has a SKIP available in the lower right corner. You do get the coin if you use the SKIP. It appears in the mouth of the Troll on the back upper right side of the game. If you use a SKIP and don't take the coin and leave that scene the coin will be gone when you go back because the game resets itself if you leave. You will have to wait for the SKIP to recharge and then use it again to have another coin appear. Be sure to click on the coin to put it into your inventory. You only need one coin in each game of MCF RTR from Whack A Troll. If you play the Whack A Troll again in the same game you won’t get another coin. Good luck!
