PixiStyx: Yes, Keanu played Jonathan Harker in Coppola's Dracula but was universally panned for his inability to do a British accent. Thanks to the magic of this HOG game, that problem has been solved!

This one's British accent sounds darn good, something the real actor has never gotten right...and is it just me or did he cut himself while shaving?
I'm not much of a 'dark' fan but I'm glad I demo'd this one. It's a buy.

If you don't like spiders, don't go for this game. There is a extremely large and hairy one that you have to get past to continue. We are talking door-sized.

Delete the well. Go get the key from the 'cave' in the river...it looks more like a 'mine'...at the end of a channel. Walk thru the water to the entrance and a crate will appear. Open it to get the key. Go back to the circle of rocks and build the well. Approach the well and it will tell you to jump in.

I came back from doing the Drill sidegame and all my citizens are wearing straw hats with multicolored fruit (?) on the brim. What is going on?

I couldn't cross the 'road bridge' near the run-down cabin. I had to build a new bridge to cross the river to his side.

They mark the borders of your 'land'. You cannot go beyond them.

It wouldn't let me go on until I hired deputies. You need to hire two new deputies, no matter how many you already have.

Don't have the sheriff participate in the firefights. Send your deputies and gunslingers (if any) to do the dirty work. Leave your sheriff behind at the second camp...if he lives that long!

I know this was asked a long long time ago....but just in case somebody else needs to know. Click anywhere outside the group. The lasso appears. Move lasso over everybody. Warning: Just because they are all in a group, doesn't mean you won't 'lose' one now and then. They kind of spread out and follow their own path and sometimes one will get lost in the woods or 'stuck'.

MalteseBaby -- You might like Romance of Rome too. You have a hero, a heroine who might have to marry the wrong guy, and some good friends to help along the way. No ghosties or haunts just good clean HOG action.

Enough of a 'twist' on the usual to keep your interest...I would like to see the rooms at the end look all nice the way they do when you are looking at them from the outside. The 'jumble sale' is supposed to clear away some of the junk but it's baaaack. I don't know how many times I sold the same pair of scissors to different people! Anyway, I really like it and find it a refreshing change from the dark and dismal HOG mystery games.

I also notice that during my second play-thru the customers asked for objects that they did not request at all during the first time.
Also, sometimes Austin has said new things or things that I did not catch the first time thru.
What I'd like now is a game where you sell garden produce, flowers and 'junk' items in order to fix up the house!

I also feel the ending came too quickly...though I was warned on this forum that there were only 5 chapters. Of course, HE has to earn money on this section (probably) in order to complete the next one. All the same, I don't like it when books or movies end with a 'to be continued' stated or implied. You don't want your consumer to feel like they are just a cash cow.

I really liked this...not my usual type of game. But it has some replay value. I'm on my 2nd go round and there are new objects requested by the buyers. I like the music, except the kind of 'rock' one heard most often in the garage. I also like that you can create different gardens on each turn. Loading time between scenes is kind of a pain but the rest of the game is so good, I don't mind. It's all worth it to hear Austin say 'wow!' when the money comes in!

What 'special effects' are you carrying? Maybe you should look at the ones that inflict more damage.

Once the fuzzies eat all the leaves off and you achieve the hidden key, it is just decorative. It doesn't do anything (that I've found).

Re: Fishing Rod. Take one of your people over to any of the lakes or the river up by the bridge (or where the bridge wood is lying). Your cursor will turn into a fishing hook and your person will start to collect fish.
