You'd probably need to post this on the Frog Prince forum. Briar Rose is a different game in the series.

You do need to get the door open in order to progress. If the handles won't install, try restarting your computer and opening the game again. If that fails to work, try reinstalling it over the top of your current version from BGF. Failing THAT... try tech support

The bride would be the ghost of Briar Rose walking the grounds.

The window in the bedroom is just extra comment. You don't need anything from the King & Queen's bedroom but the torch.

If you have the collectors edition, you will be able to get through the door in the well once you complete the game. Beyond it is the bonus information.

If you don't have the collectors edition, it will remain inaccessible.

Either way, the stuff behind the door is not integral to the game so relax, you're not missing much.

Once you match the instruments in the book, you need only go upstairs to the next level and the instruments will be there on the floor.

Just a hint, make sure you don't pick them up and put them all in your inventory because you'll need the space to collect other things.

Not all will be needed come the finish so just pick them up when you're ready one by one and test them. Once you have the five in place, the others in your inventory will disappear.

If you pick them all up at the start and have no more room in your inventory, you'll have to start the game over.

Hope that helps.

It's on the path at the back. Follow the steps from the rear door to the house and move back towards the left on the far side of the path to the left gate. It'll be there hidden in the grasses.

Are you putting it into the beaker in the correct sequence? Check the book for the proper sequence because if it's disappearing, then it's probable that you're doing it out of turn.

Around the village of Wish are small scale weights which will help you determine how much various items weigh, In this way you can isolate which ones go on the posts at the gate as each post will tell you what the relevant item that goes there must weigh,

OR

You can simply disregard the weights and test various objects against the gate to find which ones work.

Once you have all the pictures in place, they will go blank. Click on each one in turn making sure your speakers are on and the sound is activated in the game. A tune will play. Then click on the keyboard to zoom in and click on the keys. The same tune will play lighting up the keys. Play it again in sequence. If you get it wrong, just click the keys again and it will show you the sequence again.

Once you have it correct, zoom back out and click on the next picture. Once you have completed them all, the door will open.

You don't mix them. There is another chalk you haven't found and it's yellow. It is the one you need.

I'm not sure what it is that you're needing. Can you be more specific?

DC 1 - 3 were quite good. DC 4 -5 sucked. Safecracker is all about tough puzzles and mazes. It works at a much higher level than DC. If that's where you're at, then by all means go for it.

You might want to download each as a trial before buying to get some idea of the difference of skills involved.

It's in the passage outside the Countess's room. When you enter through the trap door, you'll have a passage and two doors, one on each side. In front of scene to the right is the card.

Have you scooped the boat out completely?

When you have the scalpel used to cut the painting from the wall in the hidden room, you can also use it to open the bag. However, the lamp knob is not IN that bag - something else you'll need is.

The lamp knob is upstairs in the barn at the back near the window in a HOG scene.

It sounds like the game glitched. I would try to download it again and reinstall it over the copy you have. It won't affect your current game progress but should fix the program if there has been a hiccup for whatever reason.

If the problem persists, then contact tech support.

It's in the dressing room near the countess's room. Go down through the trapdoor and select the room to the left. It's in the HOG scene up back.

Use the scalpel to cut it out of the frame.

The scalpel will work on the fourth side but it depends where you're using it. It's a bit finicky. Keep trying on the inner side of the frame and you'll get it.

One is in the room just to the left before the kitchen. The other isin two pieces - half in the cage in the pergola next to the water and the other half in the water next to the pier where the fish leaps up.
