Oh don't think I will bother going back to day one - thanks for that Jules.
I looked back at some of the threads. I couldn't find any posts mentioning that players received anything else other than resources and some coins.
So mea culpa I must have dreamt that one up !
I do miss the odd free combo or shovel though!

Sound Lbsdesigns.
I will give it a miss tomorrow and will let you know day after what reward I receive.
Will you keep opening them daily so we can get an idea as to how long that run goes?
Hopefully better when you get to day 30. Fingers crossed not a large amount of either bricks, hats or pinks.

I totally agree with you Lbsdesigns!
So far I too, daily, have received either bricks, hats or pinks.
Only once have I gotten 10 coins.
So I would like to add my voice to yours in expressing my disappointment especially after 13 days of this!
I wonder if we both missed a day and reset at day one would be given a better or different deal?
Some players seem to be getting other rewards.

The Sydney resource markets are definitely different.
Originally I had 3 working on full capacity. Now I've been allotted 2 and one of these is with minimum return. This made sense to me after reading grampa's post.
To build remaining markets the requirements are:
340 coins choice of bricks, hats or pinks 6000 per 12 hours:
400 coins choice of bricks, hats or pinks 9000 per 30 hours:
700 coins choice of bricks, hats or pinks 15000 per 48 hours .

Also wondering what your thoughts are on the changes to the chest?
Last night (day one) I received 2500 pinks. This morning (day two) 2500 pinks again.
Will it be the same for the next 5 days?
Realistically a boost would have been a better reward as I've completed cities to date.
This is not a complaint just an observation.
All in all changes were needed and it still is the best game ever !

Fair play to you Trav3bird you are doing a brilliant job!
Look how far this thread has come since Snowman started it.
It has been invaluable to so many of us and for that I thank him.
Likewise, the new thread started by you will be of so much help .
GamingGrampa I hope that your excellent NO list will also be included

Jules that's weird I never saw that green icon before!
The red X was always at the bottom of the screen on my iPad.
Without knowing I must have done something earlier on in the game that did away with the green icon!
I'm not great with technology so haven't a clue how that came about

One thing I have noticed about the new layout is that the X to back out of a level is not to be seen on the screen.
There is a green icon with 3 lines at the top left hand side of screen. Click on this and the X is to be found there .

Trav3lbird I soooooooo agree with you!
I thought I was the only one who was finding these gummies difficult to unwrap.
I'm unable to work the board like some of the other players are to arrange moves. So I usually keep replaying these levels and resort to a couple of shovels to clear the last few pieces of wrapping.
Any advise from experienced "unwrappers" ?

Jules I just got same email.
I think Vancouver is worth a visit especially now that's it's free !
If all that's required between levels 91 - 100 is collected the reward is 450 coins.
It's doable and a great boost!

There definitely seems to be some sort of a glitch.
Last night I thought I was mistaken when a free chest gave me 200 pinks.
Yet when I checked in current city it looked like I actually got 2500.
So I put that one down to old age and senior moments!
But just now I opened another free chest which showed 100 coins and did I get way!
Added to my current coin collection was the usual 10 coins which is fine.
But these mixed messaged are head wrecking!
Hope it gets sorted soon!

Just updated my iPad and downloaded Vancouver !
Have no idea what it will be like but it's great to have a new city to visit!

Thanks Marie from me also.
I just completed Everest . Rewards are 3 shovels, 100 coins and 2 hours of unlimited play.
Off to use my 2 hours now

I don't usually play the event cities.
However I completed Blossom Valley and am so glad I did .
I had read a post from globetrotter on another thread listing the rewards which are really good: 200 coins: extra time x 5 : shuffle boosts x 5 : shovels x 5 and combos x 5 .
At any stage of the game these boosts are of great help.
I took my time getting through this city.
I used levels 3 13 and 21 (as recommended on the resources thread) to help build the monuments.

Everest challenge has just popped up on my iPad and will remain there for 2days and 22 hours.
I will wait until later today to play. Here's hoping the reward is same as when it last appeared.

Snowman you are more than welcome.
I had used your suggestion of Bogota 8 up until then. So it's all about helping each other.
I would be lost without this thread and also the senior citizens one with all its hints and tips

Bogota 63 is also good for bricks and hats.
Level 47 yields higher amount of each per play.

Bogota 47 is great for bricks and hats.

On iPad I have never received a scratch card I assume that's because I'm not connected to Facebook.

Like you Snowman I have completed Amman. At the moment I feel like a lost sheep. I have spent so long getting here and now what?
It's a bit like life, you start, everything is new and exciting and the road stretches ahead of you.
Now I am looking back, wondering how I ever managed to get here!

Gummy Drop is the best game I have ever come across. During the Easter break I tried some other games with the grandkids and none of them could compare with GD. There is just something about it that for me ticks all the boxes.

I will as Jules recommended continue to replay different levels etc.
Oh and I will finally be able to catch up with everything I put on hold while playing this extremely addictive game!

Welcome to all the newcomers! It's great to see so many views on this thread. There is definitely a wealth of information to be found here.
Don't despair Glitter. When I first started playing I had completed Sydney and half of Tokyo. I gave up and deleted the game from my iPad. Then after reading all the helpful tips here I decided to give it another try.
I'm in Dublin now and would not consider myself in any way a great player.
I don't play the event cities. I check all the treasure chests but only accept the free one which is usually one in every four or five (I think)!
So best of luck

Dublin 40 is what I use to help build monuments. Alas snowman not hugh amount of bricks per play. Hopefully someone else will havel come across some better levels!
