lillitu - I couldn't wait for Pure Hidden, so I got it elsewhere. That game is pure brilliance, very zen, very bohemian. I wish all games were so perfect!

WHOA!!! 70 games all for 2.99 is very definitely a very pleasant surprise indeed, and more than makes up for the missing Dire Grove. Thanks Paul.

Mac members have come a very long way, and it's been an incredible struggle, but we've finally been made to feel as valued as the other Big Fish club members have felt for years.
I don't know what Big Fish had to go through to get us to this point, but if they are now committed to treating us with equality, I am now willing to support them 100%. |

Picman - you saying we have to stay up all night again tonight?!? ;-)
Shorenuff - I'd love it if we had our own forum section too, instead of just one thread, but there is a way to get to our thread easier than ploughing through until you find it. The Mac Forum is a sticky - which means it has a permanent place near the top of the threads, but you have to go to the Chit-Chat Corner to get to it. You'll see it somewhere in the middle of the page. If you go to the Forums Home page first, you'll have to plough through. PS - I'm a little concerned about being a herring now, so close to the holiday seasons. Over here in the states, herring is a traditional food favorite. |

Now the background seems to have vanished altogether. It may have been a cache issue as you suggested because oddly enough, I didn't notice that it went to the PC page right away, and started the download, and it was downloading the Mac version. The page however, had the little icon saying Mac version available also - which is why I believed it was the PC page.
In any case, congratulations on the successful make-over, and thank-you for our own pages. It was well worth staying up for. |

Yeah we did Picman! An hour before you just posted. Looks excellent. I noticed one glitch - when you click on the Learn More button on the home page, it takes you to the PC download page.
I love the first TGT and Daily Deal games. Unfortunately, I own them both already, but am still excited that those were the first ones. Thanks again. You cannot imagine how much this is appreciated. |

It looks very nice!
There is a big glitch though - when you click on the background for the Learn More for the featured game, it takes you to the PC download page. I don't see any surprise either, but maybe it is too early yet. All in all, very nice. |

Wrazzled, living in the Rockies should be enough to make you smile every day. I fell in love with the Rockies almost 35 years ago, and go back every year (and will next year too) And Shorenuf - I am in love with the desert too, and same holds for Arizona - been back and going back next summer. Mountains, desert, and ocean - can't live without them, but I live in Wisconsin where we don't have any of them. Family obligations hold me here, but my heart resides elsewhere. I've asked my family to spread my ashes over the mountains, ocean and desert so that I'll finally be in the places I love.

Wrazzled - the changeover will be at 1:00am for you. I plan on staying up (2am for me) - I've been waiting for, yelling for, making myself a thorn in their sides for almost 2 and a half years, and it's all going to come together in less than 5 hours. I can wait. I will probably cry because it's been such a struggle and it has finally paid off.
Congratulations every one - we finally made it!!! |

I think that the remake is going to include having a link for subscribing if I recall correctly. I would like to get it again too. I know I used to, but the frequency got smaller and smaller, then went poof! All gone!
Boy, one thing I REALLY wish for is a separate Mac forum. You can't even search for help because you get all kinds of garbage with the 3 letters Mac. And Mac specific topics get buried under tons of verbal sludge within minutes in the Chit-Chat section. At least Butch was brilliant enough to create this forum, for us, but it has gotten a little unwieldy for some of the newcomers if they want to search for something in this particular thread. It would be nice if we could create separate threads. Only a few more hours now before we get something of our own. :-) |

I'd like to know about the Mac game splash also. I used to get it, then it disappeared. Now I get the PC one, and that is like rubbing salt in a wound. It will be nice to get a Mac one again.
Picman - you shouldn't have any problems "learning" how to use a Mac. I was once hardcore PC, but got tired of having to reformat every few weeks just to clean up the debris and keep all the programs playing nice with each other. After dealing with a PC for so many years, the switch to Mac was extremely easy. The learning curve is like a small bump. At first I wasn't happy about not being able to control what my Mac could do. I was one of those who was comfortable fooling around in the registry with Windows, so to not even be able to do simple things like create and use my own cursor on the Mac was depressing. However - those annoyances disappeared when I found that I could keep the Mac up and running for months without a single problem. I also enjoy knowing that catching a virus isn't a given the way it is with a PC. Mac OSX and the available apps have come a long way and in an idiot-proof kind of way, so learning a Mac isn't really a challenge at all. I'm on my 3rd iMac now, and all of them still run. I finally gave away my PC because it just wasn't worth all the trouble to keep it running any more. Just check it out some time - I'm not promoting switching, but it's nice to know how the other half lives. Honestly - you could sit down some afternoon, and by nightfall be a pro. |

Well, only 4 days to go for our new Mac section. And a good surprise.

Picman just told us that Dire Grove will be at least 3-6 weeks after the PC version so they can port it to Mac. I just don't get why they can't port it before they release the PC version, but have asked that so many times and gotten no satisfactory answer. The only reason might be because the PC version is more or less a beta for the PC folks to get all the bugs worked out.
Picman also said we will be getting a big surprise to make up for the delay. Only 4 more days left. |

I wrote to customer support, so maybe we will have some news. Might not be until Monday though unless they work weekends.

I would also like to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
Here is what Gamezebo says about the Collector's Edition: "The Collector's Edition will come with an in-game strategy guide; bonus gameplay content allows players to earn special achievements; and a variety of concept art, video outtakes and desktop wallpapers. The Collector's Edition is only being offered as a "Buy Now" purchase and will not have a free trial. Players will not be able to apply existing credits or coupons to its purchase. The Collector's Edition is also only available to Big Fish Club members." The special edition will be released November 25th, so I was hoping, since we are getting our special Mac remake on the 24th that we would also be able to enjoy getting the special edition early also. I keep hoping, but based on the past, I suspect we won't get a Collector's Edition at all, and the regular version will be months and months away. I hope I am wrong with a capital W. This is Big Fish's chance to show us they value us as much as the PCers. |

I can try customer support, but it didn't seem like something they would know. I tried searching the forums several times for Mac info, but all I got was chatty junk that had a "mac" in it.
Mostly we would love to know if we are going to be included in the excitement of this release, or if, as usual, we will be waiting half a year. We were promised a separate Mac section on the 24th of this month, which is one day before the Collector's Edition is to be released, so I was hoping that after the new Mac launch, we would be included with the rest of the club members. |
