For those interested in solving the puzzle in minimum number of moves.
The room colors aren't correct but it works anyway.

thanks prpldva, I'm tickled, but that's the only one I can improve on, I work on every puzzle and very often have to refer to the solution.
Also thanks for the walkthrough, as many of us appreciate.
Small correction in your walkthrough: Mansion 2 Room 13 first line should read:
Move the room up; walk right (not left).

8) Go up ladder twice...move room right 2...

9) Go up ladder for key...walk left 1...

10) Move room left 1...move room down 1...

11) Go down ladder twice...move room right 1...

12) Go up ladder...move room up 1...walk left 1...

14) Go up ladder 1...walk left 1...move room down 2...

15) Walk right 2 for exit.

Hi anyone, I've never poster a spoiler, and I can't be sure it works cause if I preview it shows the text.

I have a solution for Mansion 2 Level IV that does it in 16 moves.
There are 2 solutions I've seen in 20 moves, one in the forum, one in the new walkthrough but I don't dare post it and the text is readable.

Do you need all puzzle pieces to complete the game and get some kind of reward ? or a puzzle to complete with all the pieces.

The artwork is beautiful, lots of fun tricks, lots and lots of bells and whistles,
but it gets a bit repetitious and I ran into some minor 'bugs'. I'll give it 3 stars.

Edit: 2 months later,
I was really really wrong, this game is addicting and not repetitious, I still haven't finished it. I wish to call it 5 stars, certainly worth many hours of puzzles.

I also want a walkthrough, this time because I can't figure out how to do the 'crates' mini game, I don't want to skip, I love mini games and wish I had a tip.
For one I don't exactly know what it means to build a staircase, the help says to put the big crates on the bottom, that means it's not a typical staircase.
Love Cateia games, especially Tales from the Dragon Mountain both of them, Where Angels Cry, can't wait for the sequel to come out, Red Crow Mysteries - Legion.

Thanks, I thought I was a good detective, Guess I'll have to be more observant.

I know it's in the strategy guide, but I wanted to find it. Is it anywhere or just in the strategy guide. That would be odd for MCF games or any Adventure/Hidden Object

Thanks for that, I tried everything, I was ready to give up on the game, I used the hint and it works now

A couple of times objects got stuck on my cursor.
A couple of times the game froze, I exited with alt-F4 and lost nothing and continued playing.
(PC-Win 7)

I was stuck at the same place.
On 1st floor, outside the elevator, go to the hole under the balcony.
Go up the ladder...

Also am having the same problem.
The Walkthrough says to go to the tavern and use the Oil Can on the back door. I do this but nothing happens.
I also traded the rabbit's foot for a red sash and put the sash on the 'cloaked' mannequin at the theatre, also nothing happens.
I don't want to start the game over.

Edited to add this:
I have found my problem, don't know if it applies to anyone else.
I had missed going to see Jacques' father who told me who the letters were written by, I then had to go tell Caprice, she told me about the back door tavern and then the door opened.
I don't see this part in the Walkthrough.
Is there a way to ask for a correction in a Walkthrough ?
